You also don't seem to realise that we are the Port Adelaide Football Club, which was established and registered in 1870. We dominated the SANFL for over a hundred years and we then transferred our license to the AFL in 1996 and starting competing in the AFL in 1997.

We are the true black and white, end of story!

Oh, and what happened to that promise your club made that if we beat you so many times in a row, we would be able to wear our prison bar jumper permantely and have the Magpies name permantely. We beat ya more than the required times in a row, and yet your joke of a club didn't make good on that promise.

I supposed with a president like Eddie McGuire all ya gonna do is make money instead of winning premierships.

Now if Port had the choice of making money or winning premierships, we'd choose winning premierships every day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

36 flags???? in what? some adelaide comp that doesnt mean ********! Its a second rate comp and always has been! True Magpies???? I love how you adelaide supports talk....so full of crap! You talk about promises and wearing black and white, you have to earn the jumper you pull on every week my friend, dont start to compare the records with Collingwood, you will just embaise yourself.

Go back to SA mate!

If Port Power are Port Adelaide, then what the ******** is Port Adelaide? Did Port Adelaide (SANFL) form in 1997? No it is the same club it was in 1870!!! Port Adelaide, the team that has a nickname Power instead of Magpies, and has Teal added to Black and White is the original...then stop thinking you are the real Magpies aswell.

Hey Lonie, lets not waste anymore of our time on these retartard supporters!!!! All they want to do is cause a stir! Most memorable port adelaide and collingwood games..

1. 2002 Qualifying final.
2. 2003 preliminary final
4. 2005 match at the telstra dome. 34 point winners!!!! (with half a side)

This debate is really amusing.
How can 2 clubs share the same history? The only way that can happen is if one is an offshoot of another, so in essence they are the same club.

The thing with Collingwoods history is that it has been in the same league. The VFL changed it's name to the AFL to accommodate interstate teams. There was no submission by any Victorian team to join the AFL it was automatic entry and there was no licence fee paid, the existing clubs had been paying their way for years.

I'm South Australian, and I can say that the SANFL is nowhere near the quality of football that was played in the VFL, ever. Why else would the best SA talent move to the VFL to play? It is and will always be inferior to the VFL/AFL.

Why you Port Adelaide clowns are arguing this in our forum is beyond me, your the only one's who thinks this is all true.

Anyway the reason I am here is to get everyone to sign the online petition on the jumper debate. Just to get this thead back on track.

You can do it here. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/noalternatestrip/

I hate to do it but we need to join with our Essendon counterparts on this.
