FRIDAY night’s AFL blockbuster between heavyweights Collingwood and Carlton will be screened live after Channel 7 bowed to pressure from fans.
Seven this afternoon changed its mind, after earlier being adamant its telecast would not start until its scheduled 8.30pm timeslot.

However, the game will not be telecast live in Adelaide.

I would be stoked with a 1 hr delay into Brisbane. But noooooooooooooo, that's way too much to ask. I have to sit through Better Homes & Gardens, then The Thomas Crown Affair, then 30 mins of Suburban Secrets (whatever the f#$k that is) before, finally, the game kicks off at 11.20.

So, once again it will be 2.30 am when the game is finished. I will be tired and grumpy all day Saturday because some beaurocrat doesn't give a damn how much the broadcast rights cost them. If it was Brisbane being spanked by anyone by 12 goals (which will happen all year) then no-questions-asked, it would be on live. But it aint.

I should send them my collective Saturday morning coffee bill at the end of the season...

Seriously? I was sure some Channel Seven corporate bogan came on and announced that it'd be live into Adelaide too, maybe they have just brought it forward a little so it isn't delayed by as much. **** sakes.

Just had a look and yup, looks like only a 30min delay instead of the usual 90mins on a Friday night. I can't wait til this shit is sorted out!

Ch7, The worst telecast ever!!!!!

I know that this is a regular topic on here but if that is the sort of crap Ch7 are going to serve up to us in the new broadcast rights, I'll just listen to the radio.

Did they show 1 centre bounce? All I heard was the ball thumping into the ground then they decided to cut back to the action. What is it with the extreme wide shots, half the time I had no idea who had the ball, that shot is worse than sitting in the back row of the southern stand.

I do not know who decides on these shots but they have NO Idea. I idea of a TV telecast is to get into and close up on the action, they are still living in the 60's with their broadcast.

Oh and one more thing, WTF is the point of the Mega wall???
