A really good move, but is there any chance of doing something like this out of hours? I might be on BF during work hours, but online chat is pushing things just too far.

i liked the part how someone asked for a job and got no response, i think its the only question that was published that didn't get an answer. i feel for that person too, i have asked the AFL and richmond for employement and got shut down instantly with a non response. knowing that million or billion dollar organizations would rather take unemployed peoples money instead giving them employment shows the reality of dickwads that run the world. i still love richmond though

How do you get shut down instantly without a response?
Perhaps you simply are not qualified for a paying role within a sporting organisation.
Did you apply specifically for a role or did you just say 'give me a job'?

i asked them for any job of any discription. they did respond but it was a blatant no, with expression we don't give a ****!! with any discription means from cleaning toilets and up. to say there isn't any job that can be placed is absolute bull.

Cleaning jobs are outsourced out to separate companies. You would need to apply with the cleaning company, not with an AFL club for a cleaner's position.
Also I don't understand the bit about taking unemployed's people's money.The club isn't forcing people and pointing a gun to their head demanding money from anyone. Completely voluntary.

You have got to be fair dinkum kidding - The CEO comes on a forum for a chat and you bail him up with a plea for a job.

Have you had any training at all in how to go about getting employment. Hijacking the head people is not the way to go.

I really won't even try to tell you how to but using this forum to air a gripe about the RFC not giving you a job is well beyong belief.

We threw that in because Brendon thought it was funny, thats all.

RE: Employment. As I get a lot of the job requests I think I'm pretty good with them. You may have emailed us at a different time, we try to return every email these days.

(Not doing yourself any favours if you're calling us dickwads btw haha) However I wont name names, but we had a poster from this very board ask for work and we offered them some recently. The thing is, we just don't have the budget/jobs to be offering them to everyone who asks for them. Over the summer we probably advertised 4 membership and 4 sales and staff, did you apply for those? While emailing us is a good step, also helps to keep an eye out on seek, etc.

TIP: If a company isn't advertising for jobs, then that usually means they aren't looking for employers.
