The cheer squad and seating surrounding looked very good from my seats aisle 37 and on TV. Seemed to be filled with Dogs fans and were very vocal.

The cheer squad appear to have lifted there game over the latter part of the year. Lots of colour, flags & cheering etc. Much better than previous years IMO.

Couple of pointers:
1. Need some old school flags in there... ala Red, white & blue square pattern. There is one on the top level, Doug Hawkins Wing.
2. Some new chants... I know it's hard to get some people around you involved.
3. Streamers ;) Oh, thats illegal isn't it?

Thanks TopDog......we have been trying to come up with some different chants but dont seem to be gettin anywhere!

We have been louder over the last few weeks becasue we have been winning....i know its bad to say but unfortunately alot of cheersquad members dont find there voice until we start to kick a few goals and are winning.

Yeah the cheersquad has been ok lately, thats cause we have been winning.
Hopefully we will have new younger members next year who will make a lot of noise, and get a lot of new chants going.

Or they could be like me and just only get up and yell when they are so upset:p I sit there and say very little most of the time i'm to into watching around the ground to yell at umps and oppo players. I'm in the focus zone it's my mum that's going off her nut 100 points down or up she goe's good:D

Hope the cheer squad is better now then when i was a pup, My 2 niece's are comming over in 06:)

The coonnnnnnnnnnnn chant has bene going since his first game, every time he has got the ball in melb i say it.

Did you hear the cooney army cooney army thing on friday night?

How about we as a group try and make up some chants again, but try and do them better.

Coooooney just came about cause when everyone seen him and said his name it sounded great, You couldnt miss him with his first hair do:p.
Just as time went on it go louder but in the outer not doggie people the rest think it's new:D It's been around forever.

I got a chant my mum did it Friday night with Brian. You know that no garry no ad the smoker.... She was going Go Brian go, go brian go... Goooooo Brian:p

i still think the "bullllldoggggs" slow chant ala "syyyyyddddneeyyyy"
will work a treat, needs to be late in the game and when we are up and have just kicked a couple of quick ones.
Only time it will work.

I think i heard you guys try it early in the game and it didn't quite work, probably because it was just too early in the game.

well done again.

I still think Doggie Doggie Doggie Woof Woof Woof could work :D

We actually do use the doggie doggie doggie woof woof woof chant after every goal is scored

I heard the cheersquad do cooooooooooooonnn when he came down to full-foward and the ball was up the other end.

Can the cheersquad get a few hundred "No Gary No!" signs for fans to use when we play Geelong?

See if Nicobate will be a one or two game sponsor when we play the Cats!

If the cheer squad is looking for new chants they should follow what goes on at the premier English soccer clubs. Most have a mob they call the choir. They have a lot of individual chants, usually one for each of their players and some really rude ones (sometimes funny) about opposing teams.
