what I meant was that port power fans have been around footy for ages with the magpies whereas alot of the crow fans are new to it and just go because it is the "in" thing, this was especially evident after the 2 flags.

Port power and port magpies two different things. Do you see the port magpies wearing teal blue??

Go South!

You absolute idiot!

Although there maybe fewer Port supporters at games compared to the Crows, this does not make them less knowledgable.

If you remember, now this maybe a little hard for yourself, the Crows started playing in 1991 and had access to the whole state. In 1997 the Power was formed and although this SANFL team attracts about 35% of the state you would have to agree this would have fallen when starting the new club because of the existence of the Crows.

Nothing against women or anything, many are very good but have you seen the amount of women turning up to Crows games with knitting needles? They are more interested in their knitting than the football, so don't tell me they are knowledgable when it comes to the footy.

The Port supporters that do turn up to the footy are supporters, well versed in the game of footy and the Port Adelaide Football Club.

Im sure South Adelaide has knowledgable supporters too, are we to say that because South don't have a great amount of supporters turning up to games that they are less knowledgable than the next team?

I think not!

I never sawe true ugliness until i had the unfortunate pleasure of sitting with the sturt cheersquad for a port game at adelaide oval.

First of all i'd rather see my supporters dressed in a classy crows top rather than a feral power top.

Never travelled to Elizabeth?? Bullshit I know for a fact most of the regular cheersquad members travel all over to watch Sturt no matter where they are playing.

Anyway the only reason I bloody asked was I need to get in touch with someone about the century game against Norwood. So all you little w***ers go back to your holes.

crawl back to your gutter Blues_Girl...if you ahve one, which is doubtful enough....classy crows top...hahaha ive heard it all now!!!
Just shows the support you REALLY have when most of your so called "supporters" dont even show up in your team colours on grand final day....looking for an easy get away probably so they dont get there noses rubbed in it that they are a bunch of losers, and always will be abunch of losers...end of story

gee thats a bit hypocritical isnt it???

Wasnt it you that just said "id rather see sturt fans in a crows top than a feral port top"

make up your mind little girl

As for the other years, nope, I don't count 3 people standing together waving flags as a cheersquad. Anyway who cares? Cheersquads are for pathetic middle aged ******s or low IQers anyhow. As said before; Exhibit A: Westies

IMHO wearing any club colours to a football match is childish and immature. Why wear a club guernsey at age 25 or 26?

Westies dont count as west do not have a cheersquad....the last 4 times port have played west, all there "cheersquad" has consisted of was 3 people waving 4 flags

Before you go off half cocked, why don't you actually READ what I said in my post?

I never mentioned anything about Port fans being less knowledgable than Crows fans, or any other team for that matter. My post had absolutely nothing to do with the intelligence of Power supporters, so why does your reply?!

What I was saying, is that I find it pathetic that people can rave on about how loyal Power fans are, and how they are such "true, die hard fans", when they pull in shithouse crowds each week, with a fair proportion leaving before the final siren. Port Adelaide have about the 2nd or 3rd highest membership in the league - but somehow, very few of these turn up to football each week.

What's the deal?

well done scott, you beat them all, have to agree about that grossly overweight middle aged sturt cheersquad ! they are feral ! I may be a glenelg supporter but I have the sense to see the crows are a mob of try hard girls supported by soft businessmen who only go to footy to be seen because it is the "in" thing, whereas port fans have been around for years supporting the magpies, they may be different clubs but most of the power supporters support the magpies too

Have you even SEEN the Sturt cheersquad?!
By the looks of it, you obviously haven't. Grossly overweight and middle aged, is about the opposite of what most of them are! Get a clue... please!

"Have the sense"?

Bullshit - sense is something that you are severely lacking. If the Crows are a bunch of tryhard girls, I hate to see what you are.

You have about as much intelligence as a mentally ******ed gerbil. When are you going to quit spouting shit, and say something intelligent?

Instead of jumping on the bandwagon of other posters, why don't you take an opinion of your own, and make it intelligent? Or is that too much to ask of you.

Seriously, even though I don't share Scott or other posters opinions sometimes, at least they can make some sense. You on the other hand, just have no idea.

I have made many sensible points, the first one being that the crows are a team of try hards who will have a bad year, the power will finish above them.
You obviously havent seen them because some of them are overweight and nearly all are middle aged, so how about you make some sense.
Oh by the way are you in that group of south men who wear those *** caps at south games, they think they are so smart with their dry wit and smart comments, in actual fact they are a bunch of w***ers

How about you leave the afl on the afl forum??

I don't see how calling the Crows "tryhards" can be considered sensible, somehow? In what sense are they tryhards?

If you think the Power will finish above them, fine, I don't have a problem with that. But calling them tryhards - no, that is not a sensible point at all. Pathetic really... do you even understand what the word tryhard means? Start by taking a look at yourself, and you will be on the right track.

For gods sake, I replied to your post and described what they actually looked like, therefore, I have obviously seen them. Most of them are in their 20's (at an estimate), and are NOT overweight.

I went to about 15 Sturt games last year, including the finals, so I have a fairly good idea of what the cheersquad looks like. You on the other hand, are probably just grasping at another pathetic stereotype that you have probably heard on the grapevine. If you're going to make statements, please back them up somehow, because you really are spouting shit lately.

I'm not quite sure what a '***' cap is personally, but I'm quite certain that the only w***er in this scenario is yourself.

Be gone.

Yes, you've established that - now explain why the Crows are tryhards

Yes Blues Girl, I can place you now, you're the one who has worn the club colours for 20 years, and trust me girly, they, and you really need a bath as a matter of priority.
At the footy when we can smell that certain aroma of dead fish, we say, ahhhhh, the Blues Girl is here again, and she still hasn't had that bath.
Maybe if you leave it a bit longer you'll get your wish of being buried in those colours, some grave diggers will bury you as is, coz nothing ALIVE can smell that bad.

ps, I am a Port supporter, please make sure your facts are correct, coz when you argue with me, I want a challenge, I know you wont be able to long sustain a concerted attack, but it may amuse me for 2 or 3 minutes.

So come on "dead fish woman", make my day, have a go at me, and no, this isn't a sex offer, sorry, I'm married and fussy, just like my wife.

Now Easty, Glenelg??????????, really, what a dead issue of a club

If you have a wife - I pity her.

You are incredibly unfunny.

Scott, how many so called Port Adelaide Magpie loyal supporters were wearing Port Power guernseys at that '98' grand final?
Every one of them!!!!! Maggots!!!!!

Snoopster!

Nice try with your first post, obviously you are blind!

I was wearing my Port Magpies guernsey at the 1998 Grandfinal and I know many others that were as well.

You are going to have to get a little better with your posts if you want to keep up with the competition on here.

For now just go back and crawl into that little hole that you came from, until you get a little better.

Sturt Supporters wearing Crows colours in 98? I didnt see ONE. How many Port mindas did we see wearing Port Power gear, most of them! Wrong team idiots.

As for being in the Cheer Squad, I was a member for many years, and still supported the team during our dark days, so much for coming out of the woodwork.

At least our club wasn't responsible for the formation of the Crows in 91 and the subsequent decimation of the league.
