Hi, just want to wish you guys good luck for next year, and in keeping the faith over the summer. In some respects, there's a few stark similarities between the experiences of Collingwood and Geelong fans, and we know how you'd be feeling having lost the supposedly unloseable. Keep believing in the cause, and taking it for what it's worth - I think you guys will bounce back a lot better than we did post-2003 (although injuries didn't help). One or two fresh faces should be enough to keep the wheels turning. Good luck! :)

Cheers mate. You'd think we'd be used to it having lost 2 prelims and 5 GF's in the past 20 years
;) We're a 1 in 3 chance of being upset

Thanks for that. Yes I suppose our two teams have given the full range of football experience although I'm not sure any other side has had a season like ours an dthen have a game like that in the GF. Just so "Geelong"

I'm looking forward to the Pies V us game this year on Thursday night. It gives us a chance to have a Blockbuster with you guys that could be a regular event if well attended.

Unfortunately it won't be a regular event (as I understand) - reading The Age today, apparently in order to help negotiate a stadium deal in Queensland, the two Queensland sides will apparently have a mortgage on the Easter Thursday fixture from 2011 until 2020 (unless I misunderstood the article). Pretty stupid, really, because the Gold Coast will take years to garner support.

How do you guys feel about facing us? I just watched the first half of the round nine match, and I think your players were almost waiting for us to set the tone of the night, in that we'd either start the way we did in taking the initiative, or cower and allow the Cats to dictate terms. I'm sure that won't occur again. How do you guys see it? At least we, in all likelihood, should have some form behind us (Adelaide and Melbourne at the MCG prior).

im already looking forward to that clash. have penciled it in with round 1 v Hawks as must attend games. Unfortunately we both fall victim to the AFL's outrageous fixturing. The round 3 clash is our only meeting meaning we both would have played nearly every team twice from the time of that game and our next meeting after that. i think there is a potential for a great rivalry/revenue drawing fixture there. They should be playing it twice.
