Downhill started long before thatEver since CD made that stupid "professional jealousy" comment re the crows, we've been on a downhill trajectory ever since. He can piss off with Koch, Ken an Co.

He's not highly regarded by me, that's for sure. Hinkley, Koch, Davies, Richardson, in that order of sh*tness.Might be highly regarded, might do a lot of things well, but is a co-conspirator at this point given the insane coaching situation we've found ourselves in.
This. I'm not against him staying.I'm not sure about the setiments against CD and what his actual role is at the club but from my perspective he is good recruiter and trader. I don't think its his problem to develop the players to suit a game style. That's Hinkleys job aint it?

I would bet my life its due to budget constraints and a very highly paid head coach.I'd love to know whether the cheap as chips coaching panel is his doing, or a result of budget limitations coming from above.
Is he hamstrung by the bean-counters above, or does he really think this is the best coaching panel we could have?

GETTABLE: Young guns out of contract, why Tigers should chase Giant
Cal Twomey and Riley Beveridge are joined in Adelaide by Power GM of Football Chris Davies and SA draft prospect Ashton Moirwww.afl.com.au
Says we are missing key defenders in the mid 20s. Jonas and McKenzie 30+, Pasini, K.Marshall, McCallum yet to play. Ratugolea, McKay and Pickett mentioned. Wants less restrictions on trading picks.
SANFL side will struggle because it's a young side. Wants Josh Sinn to stay on the park. Talked up Visentini.
Wants to tie Georgiades down to a contract at some point during the season, but he needs to focus on getting back in the AFL side. Club still has massive faith in him. Says he'll be speaking with Bergmans management at some point to get him re-signed. Talks up that we historically don't lose too many players.
Rozee out of contract at the end of 2024. Davies says he's a long term leader and hopes Rozee sees his long term future here.
If I remember correctly Davies talked up Sam Hayes a lot once upon a time. Unfortunately that didn’t translate to faith by the coaching staff.Interesting that Visentini was mentioned. Sinn yes high end draft pick, Dante much lesser known. These interviews aren't entirely spontaneous, so good to hear Dante get raised. A few of us here have been excited by his potential from the outset.

Blind Freddys grandma's canary could see we have been well short of at least one quality key defender since Daryl Wakelin retired 15 odd years ago, and when we had someone who could have filled that role (ie Dougal Howard) he was traded away for some magic beans.Chris Davies interview at the 7:30 mark.

Wot..no more Seinfeld.Mentioned a couple of times on The Age's podcast that Davies may be out the door at the end of the year, with multiple teams chasing him as head of football, as well as the AFL itself for the vacant position as footy ops boss (Brad Scott's old role).
