Well, he's had crap heaped on him constantly, but he's an absolute gun.

Apparently one of the most intense trainers we have, obsessive about his preparation and works his arse off to address deficiencies in his game.

Now, with his move down forward, he's become extremely dangerous, is capable of slotting them from 60 odd out, and he's taking the heat off the younger guys to be dominant performers.

Sometimes a little too much, but works hard on the field, and shows a hell of a lot of passion and desire.

Love him (and that brunette on the bottom of shot when Vince just walked up the race was cute), and think he's got to be in the frame for a leadership position.

I cant see Noble releasing him back to the midfield group anytime soon

Knights monster left boot is so dangerous within 60m from goal and his engine makes him very difficult to match up on

I would love to see Knights in our leadership group

I've been singing his praises since his junior days. He's not just a ball magnet - his ability to kick goals makes his such a dangerous player and his ability to hurt teams has really grown in recent weeks.

HFF is a good compramise.

Starts deep and works onto the forward wing to unload that zone breaking boot.

Love seeing him like this.

Chrissy Knights is a gun. Looks at home on HFF. Having a bloke who can ping them from 60 out time after time is gold.

Go Knighta!!!Keep it up.

Also has allowed us to push Dougie up into the midfield where he looks so much more at home.

I don't think he's playing forward, he's playing as a mid who is positioned forward of the ball, the majority of the time, with rests in the forward line.

Just about every shot on goal of his is on the end of a link play through the midfield, and then a running shot on goal anywhere from 45 to 80 meters out. Which is right where he should be. ;)

Really is starting to look like a very classy footballer. Looks at home up forward and knows where the goals are. The move is working wonders for him and it's great to see after the crap he's copped on here, how good he can actually be.

When he was in the midfield he got a lot of contested footy but his biggest downfall was his short disposals - he can't hit target 20 metres but has always been a good long kick (perhaps a trait in left footers) and the last 4 weeks have shown this. Leave him up forward as it presents another attacking weapon.

Tippet, Porps, Walker, Dangerfied and now Knights - an explosive forward line but the best is yet to come over the next couple of years. Exciting times.

Knights has always been a very good player for us. He's an absolute ball magnet wherever he plays and his work rate is unquestionable.

Yes, the herd mentality which demands that some one must be whipped to death irrespective of fact had chosen Knights as their victim and every little error he made became reason enough to drop him, trade him etc blah blah blah.

Absolute bullshit IMO. :thumbsd:

Now that he's moved up forward and kicking goals the herd has changed its tune, because its damn hard to keep bagging a player that kicks goals and damn fine ones at that.

Well played Chris - to the extent that you've silenced the herd and forced them to look elsewhere with their whips!! :)

The blokes a star for u guys, came from my team Vermont...no wonder why he is a star:D

Anyway i hope he comes back to play for vermont after he has finished his career.

Finally good luck next week against us, u guys should win as it is Edwards 300th and u guys are awesome in milestone matches.:thumbsu:

He's almost at the stage of being an elite player in my opinion. How long can he kick though! Brilliant. :thumbsu:

Sending him forward has been a masterstroke.

Hell yes. What I love is that he has clearly been given a license. If he feels he's within scoring distance (ie about 65m) feel free to take a ping. The forwards lead, the goal square is empty, and he's just as reliable as can be.

I love watching him zip around half forward, picking up possessions at will.

I was concerned that he just might not make it to that upper echelon category, after looking so awesome back in 07. He's on track to become one of our most important players.

knights has been devasting the opposition for the last 3-4 weeks... however, the question arises, how long can he keep his accurate kicking up?

I beleive knights could be the new 'in fashion' player. A quick midfielder with a booming kick, reason: he breaks the floating/floating/rolling defensive zone (which is all the rage currently)? was it just me or is kicking it long to goal a good option because the rolling defensive zone has all/most of our forwards checked or the forward line is too cramped.

i have a feeling other teams will be doing this too, if they have the player to do it.

That's not really relevant; how long can Porps, how long can Walker, how long can Danger?

Knights has a very, very nice kicking technique, if he's going to have a shot on the burst from the 50, if he can kick 50% of them, and is willing to dish off to someone in a better position if possible, then you'd take it any day of the week.
