Can only hope.... I hope I can come and say.. Yes I was wrong about Chris Scott, but each year going pass the confidence is getting less..The alternative is that Scott uses the next couple of months to reflect on life outside of football - that is when he's not completing coaching duties from a distance
This is something he said back in 2017 - *Scott has agreed in principle to remain with Geelong until 2020 but may seek another career path beyond that.
“The best way will be to finish before my daughter gets to school, based on what I’ve heard from other coaches,” Scott told Off-Field.*
Looking at his press conference after the GWS match, he looked like a guy who knew there was more to life than football, especially with the current world environment in which we find ourselves. So this break from May reinvigorate him, give him that push to keep going, or he may find that after this additional family time that he has different priorities in life
