Genuinely curious to know how you see this scenario playing out then. For the sake of this conversation, take Astbury out of the equation - what could you see as a satisfactory trade as a Tiger fan?

Honestly I reckon as of now he's worth a late 1st or very early second pick, around 20. So I reckon we'd be trying to organise another trade to get a pick like that, maybe from Brisbane. Leppa is known to have a pretty close relationship with our key talls, so I'd be trying to trade either Astbury or Griff for a pick upgrade to on trade for Yarran.

Cheers. I can't see how either of those two would fit into our structure though. Considering Yazz is contracted, Richmond (or any other club) wouldn't have the luxury of putting a 'take it or leave it' type offer on the table or just giving up players of their choice without Carlton getting a say.

i reckon we will pay up and get a fair deal for both parties, carlton and richmond have a pretty good trading history. I mean some trades have worked out better in hindsight but they were pretty fair at the time. I think we have both lost and won some in the end, but it was about what was fair at the time. I mean c'mon we traded a second rounder for hampson that was late twenties on the first day of trading with no fuss. Dont think either club plays games trying to bend each other over like essendon.

So apparently the tigers are interested in Yarran, and I get that he's pretty handy so you want to keep him. But if he wants to come to Tigerland does our third pick and Dave Astbury do the deal for you? He was leading our b&f until injured mid last year, but hasn't been able to crack into our back 6 as all our talls have been great/not injured.

I've heard we may be straight swapping Astbury for Yarran? What are Carlton peoples thoughts on the trade? Yarran is not worth a first rounder with his issue, so I think its fair. Astbury was leading our B&F last year before his injury.

First rounder and Astbury (big key position player leading our B&F last year before injury, plays forward and back) for Yarran doesn't garner any interest from you lot?
