What does everyone get up to on Xmas day? due to still having a young sibling we do the presents thing rather early. Usually all of my mothers side family comes up for it. Breakfast on the bbq eggs, snags, bacon. big feast at lunch, Pork, Chicken, Ham any kind of meat really. then top it off in the arvo big ass cricket match followed by beers a swim and a bbq. one of the better relaxing days of the year.

That's the way, stack on the kg's baby!

Haha nuh we're pretty relaxed now at Christmas time, sister now works regularly so understands the value of money (not enough ).

Probably spend some time with the relatives, Boxing Day test match day after!

Decent feed, decent company.
So family not welcome ?

I have a mid arvo lunch then go to a relos to see a heap more relos.Thankfully the relos [about half a dozen or so different families] that attend are mostly the ones I like.

Presents in the morning, then to relatives house, family gathering and lunch, slowly dissipates as it gets into the late afternoon, go home and don't eat anything for a week owing to the massive feed at lunch (and all the leftovers available).

Fly down to Melbourne in the morning, afternoon with the relos. Don't eat too much though for some reason, just not an eating day. Oh and avoid the old man early just so I don't have to put together something tedious for someone who'll break it within a week.

Find the day itself to be pretty meh. Enjoy the morning breakfast and present opening, but then it's hours of driving to see different people, and a bunch of boring dull shite, until dinner comes around.

Much, much prefer Christmas eve, and the week leading up to it.

Wake up, put on Christmas music and open presents. Will usually have a decent breakfast so that I can just snack through lunch. We have no family around so will be making a few phone and Skype calls. Then we'll have the big roast dinner and drinks with friends through the night. Hopefully it snows. This will be my first time with a kid which makes it a different experience. Can't wait :)

I'm looking forward to the week before as well. We have a Christmas train go through the neighborhood. It's all lit up and Santa hands out presents to the kids. We'll also head up to Grouse Mountain to see the Christmas Village and raindeer and have some fun in the snow.

Get shitfaced.

Gonna be pretty crap this year. We bought a house early this year so the wife wants to do the big thing here. Her family is huge so we're only doing that side for lunch, then going to mine to chill out for tea. I hate the idea of her family here for Christmas. There's tons of them, and there's always the hangers on who won't leave. Not looking forward to it one bit. At least she can stress about it like crazy this year and then get it out of her system hopefully.

I usually work Christmas every 2nd year, as a lot of my coworkers have their families interstate, so like to allow them to get away if possible.

This year, a majority of my extended family haven't seen me since transitioning (only 2). They are all supportive, but I think that will create a little stress and maybe some awkwardness.

My birthday is on the 23rd, so historically it's always been a great time of year to look forward to. And no, I don't get all my presents on the one day (I've been asked a thousand times), unless I've been working and only arrive on Boxing Day.

Christmas Day is always good fun. But this year we are the ones travelling, so 6+ hours in the car. My mum, her sister and their mother also have one of those female rivalry things going on. Don't usually see it, and my mum is the angel of the 3, but that relation is the cornerstone of the Christmas celebrations, so it's awkward when it gets catty.

I've never done the lunch with one lot of people, then dinner with another lot thing. Sounds too exhausting lol. After all, there is a whole week to fit in the others.

Not much at all. Not really a fan of xmas. I love to see the family that I didnt see for the other 364 days of the year o_O

Suckling pig on the spit a few days before Christmas instead of doing it on Christmas Day.
