I came across a site with a more detailed decription of the game and the changes involved. It sounds like there is going to be more strategy involved about where you place the cities, how the cites operate, how science is researched and the make up of the military units. I like the ideas they have came up with.

Will always find all the info and subsequent speculation here:

Awesome, can't wait.

Will be interesting to see who they announce for Civ leaders, I swear I read somewhere it was Roosevelt for America and Cleopatra for Egypt

Can we get Australia in with Tony Abbott?

Obvious downfall being you wouldn't be able to nab workers from other countries.
Abilities:
Open Borders treatise unavailable.
Gas those farms! - Farms produce one less food but 1 oil.
The Internet technology takes four times longer to research.

Abbotts Unique ability-
instant Declaration of Friendship with England. Instant denouncing of Abbott from every other civilisation.

Mad Monk=Science output halved, but Faith output Doubled.

Budgie Smuggler= no movement cost to disembark.

I did love Civ 5, but the new one sort of looks a bit cartoony. But i will still probably end up buying it and loving it

The more realistic graphics for Civ 5 was good, but I found that it slowed my computer down and ended up having to play in the strategic view all the time. Providing the cartoony graphics don't slow the computer down then it's an improvement for me.
