Krakouer and Didak at their best go okay. We just haven't seen their best in a while. We do need to address this. But we never seem to target this position in the draft. I'd like to see us take a punt on a Garner type player at some point.

Dayle Gartlett says hello. And we get a little of that from Fasolo.

2014 fwd line:

HF: Fasolo, Cloke, Sidebottom
FF: Elliott, Reid, *insert crumbing fwd here*

Garlett would be a good fit for us. I'd take the risk on him. Does have talent and put together a strong season in the WAFL following the disappointment of not getting drafted. There will be competition to get him though. I'm a bit annoyed we didn't take a punt on him in the rookie actually.

Wouldn't think so at all. Unless the deal was too good to refuse I guess?

Jordan Russell is too good to refuse.

(Please, just take him.... for free if you have to)

I just want us to brave this off season and actually address our weaknesses and improve them. Last season we really didn't do that. The draft picks we received for Dawes and Wellingham were great because of the kids we managed to get in but all of lynch, Russell and Young flopped. Young I'd persist with because he couldn't get on the park but the other two are not good enough to persist with. We wasted a season with them.

We need to be brave here. This is the year to do it with many teams looking to put picks on the table.

See what we can get for guys like Shaw and Harry and pull the trigger. I'm happy to accept some short term pain for longer term gains with kids. Blair is potentially another we should put out there for trade.

See what we can get via free agency in terms of small half backs and half forwards. Toovey, Daisy and Fasolo back next season will address that to an extent but we need more. If we can't find anything via free agents go to the draft and find them.

Just be brave to make the hard calls.

I agree be brave and make the hard calls but Brennan is not the answer.

Would prefer we looked at White before Brennan even then if we that desperate for a 2nd ruck come fwd.

Or with our last pick. No knock on Ramsay but Garlett was genuine top 10 talent. Im not privy to the information that the club had regarding his off field demeanor, but its annoying to see that talent slip past.

Aside from that, we could try and snare someone from another club. I'd consider Yarran at the right price, Jetta, Lamb from the Swans (would be a good player coming out of a pocket) or a Savage/Bruest

IMO opinion a must target (with possibly no Huddo, Lynch and cameos from Jol's). Can ruck and go forward and is of genuine size.

Straight swap for Lynch and a dozen set of steak knives.

hf: fas, Cloke, Elliott

Should get and try karnezis in a role similar to gunston, kennedy should be used as a crumbier or draft and try garlett. Elliot and fas as those mid size marking options. With others obviously spending time up forward aswell

The question was which Rookie in hindsight?

None. In hindsight I would not have picked up Russell. Considering it's hindsight I think this is a fair response. Richmond has probably been our most disappointing rookie though.

I'd have a look at Karnezis, provided he came across for very little. Always struck me as the lanky flanker type, not having the frame to provide a genuine marking target.. kinda like a stretched out Dids, only without the brilliance

Cloke, Reid, Keeffe and Maxwell all in the same forward line. It's not like you couldn't predict that was going to happen. That's what is so baffling about the decision.

It highlights something else. We really lack creative, goal kicking small forwards. Guys that are natural fowards. It has to be a priority this draft.

Bang on the money.

I'd really like us to hunt an indigenous forward this pre season. Hell, take a risk on Dayle Garlett if we have to. Leon wasn't only smart around goals, but had some lethal field kicking to go with it, and often nailed passes at will.

We havent known what to do with Richmond to be fair to the lad. Ive seen him in just about ever position in the VFL, never allowed to settle into a role. Ditto Gault

Agree Re: Russell, hardly rocket science.

Hopefully he can have a big preseason and prove us all wrong.

Considering we are crying out for more depth at key position forward this is a worry. You would think we would give them that position and try to develop them in it. I think we have really screwed up our use of Gault in particular who was showing good things up forward before being thrown into defense and the wing and whatever other roles he was being used in.

We have them in Did's and Krak however we have so many one paced mid's and flankers that Bucks has chosen to leave them out because there is so much emphasis in modern footy on the forward press that is heavily reliant on pace.

The facts are there to be seen, Buck's has preferred the pace of Kennedy and Elliott over Krak and Did's for the majority of the year. Maybe a combination of the 2 would have been better for balance.

Wasn't Richmond showing promise in the front half?

I don't see much upside in Gault tbh. Will be gone this year.

I think we need to target a quick, creative, crumbing small forward. I don't know why that means they have to be indigenous. That's neither here nor there.

I still think Krakeour could be the answer. But would love us to actually go for Dayle Garlett.

I'm just a bit perplexed at Krakeour, because it does seem to be that he's half assing it. If true, get rid of him, because it's pretty disgusting.

Was Kennedy played in that crumbing small forward position? You'd think he'd have the attributes to play well in that position.
