Have now won four of their past five, including wins over Boston and the Lakers.

Blake Griffin to return in 4 weeks, Baron Davis playing superb basketball, Camby winding back the years, Eric Gordon looks a real player on the rise and Kaman has finally got some consistency.

After playing some insipid 2nd half basketball earlier in the year (and a lot of the blame has to go on Dunleavey for that) they really have got their act together and must now be considered a live chance to make the finals in the West.

Big question mark is how Griffin is going to impact on Camby and Kaman who seem to be really gelling well at the moment and who are also presenting huge match up problems for opposing teams.

I had them as my eight seed in the West. Not confident they'll get their but the Jazz are definitely waning.

well yes and no. i think the nba would like to see the clips in the playoffs. finals in the west? nope.

on the other hand, bball fans worldwide also like seeing the clips in the lottery as it provides many lulz.

credit to the clips yesterday and this season so far.

I think that's what he meant.

Remember to the untrained eye, the Playoffs are 'Finals' in the Australian sports

It's about time they woke up. I thought pre-season they look awesome on paper.

File this with the annual pre-season "Daniel Wells to finally take opponents on" article.

No team promises as much on paper and doesn't deliver than the Clippers in recent times. Nice to see them put a run together but forgive me if I'm not convinced yet.

More like 2 weeks ... possibly less.

The Los Angeles Clippers have targeted Jan. 20 as the night they hope rookie forward Blake Griffin(notes) finally makes his NBA debut, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

Still think they will deal Camby at deadline

Im loving Eric Gordon this season. Dude is a lock down defender, really smart on that end of the court. Doesnt leave his feet, can stay in front of his man and is a good size to defend the bigger 2's. His offense is already pretty damn good too, Clips have a great prospect with him.

+1.

Love his game.

Interesting piece there with regards to the Clips potential to nab a big fish free agent at the end of the season, and the author makes an interesting comparison with the Knicks ..

It's absurd to think, but now I'd reckon the LA Clippers would be a more attractive option for a potential free agent then New York ...
