in 2017 we had $58.6m in revenue, $18.8m of that came from "Club Hospitality Venue Revenue" which I interpret as Pokie income. I think it will be a long long time before we can replace 1/3 of our revenue stream.

For context Membership & reserved Seating, Gate Receipts, Merchandise, Fundraising, Interest income and other football operations totaled just $13.46m

I guess if you look hard enough at any business you can find a moral objection to it.

Pokies represent a lot of what’s wrong in our society. We’ll never bid rid of them so let’s at least confine them to the casino. To allow them in the suburbs was one of the biggest mistakes.
Carlton need to learn to exist without the power lords such as a Mathieson having an influence in the running of our club. I couldn’t sleep at night knowing my wealth is built on other people’s misery.
