You would have to keep him away from Swan for a start, very talented player no doubt about that but a bigger dickhead you would be hard pressed too find.I think I would pass on Sylvia but I would not mind Watts,if he were at the right club he would be a chance of living up to his status as a #1 draft pick.

Because he is inconsistent and a detriment to team moral...

Dude, you obsession with trades and drafts is idiotic.

Your obsession with wanting unknowns to play each week over proven stars is tiring and blatantly annoying.

As Dale Thomas would say.. pull your head in.

Round 15-18 of 2010.
28 possessions per game (12 contested per game, 86% efficiency)
8 marks per game
5 tackles per game
1.25 goals per game
9 Brownlow votes

That's what he's capable of, who wouldn't mind that sort of player playing in black and white?

Capable of that for 3 games a year? Sounds grrrrreat.

**** OFF, the personal insults aren't welcome!

If Daisy leaves, take the money and go get LeCras and Leuenberger

Sylvia is a heartless front runner and we dont need that at Collingwood

I think Sylvia is hugely talented, but has major application problems and his fair share of off field dramas.

Would have preferred we took the punt on garlett in the draft.

Only if he changed his surname to Wood.
Did you think that through?

Ahhemmm...One Wood has been a disaster already.

I'm not just talking about my golf game here!;)

You approve of Dave's posts?
I approve of him having the right to have his views, as you do.

But I have to be truthful here, i thought your name was DURITZ, a Bears poster that annoys me.

Apologies.

Apology accepted.

I of course agree that Dave has the right to have his own opinion. I and others of course have the right to question / pull up Dave for having an opinion which is blatantly wrong. We all learn from being questioned on our faulty assumptions.

I wonder what Swan would be like If he was at a lesser club?
Probably like Sylvia right now.

But if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle, etc etc.

Given his history, I find it difficult that we'd be able to turn him around attitude wise considering the tickets he has on himself (which is something Swan doesn't have and never had) and Buckley's stance on self-motivation.

Even assuming that happened, where he pulled the finger out and if he cleared up the deficiencies in his game (big if), he's not a like for like with Daisy, he's a like for like with Swan.

Considering that Swan is only a few months older, but still capable of performing at an elite level, I'm not sure if the money is well spent. Like I said earlier, it would turn out a lot like Wellingham did (though probably worse) where as an offensive clearance mid, he languishes on the HFF because Swan (and Beams when he gets back) has first crack. And if we have worries about Swan getting too old and retiring soon, Sylvia can't be that far behind.

Also, I am loathe to look at players from Melbourne who don't have a proven track record and a good attitude, considering our last talented but damaged goods recruit from the Demons who was sure to thrive in the Collingwood team environment.

Sylvia is a gun and I would take him hands down but not sure if we need another of his kind especially with Dywer stepping up.

You can never have enough talent. And while Dwyer is going great, he hasn't faced the burden of being tagged, which will happen soon enough.
As our injury list is demonstrating, additional depth that Sylvia would bring would be very very handy.

Given the right club culture (which we have), being surrounded by good players (which we do), and the right game plan (errr...I'll get back to you on this) I think a "lazy" talent like Sylvia could do quite well.

Numerous other posters have said they'd like him/look at him too.

For just Dave (or anyone in this situation) to cop it is blatantly wrong.

Okay Smartass. If you don't like my Posts. Then put me on the Ignore List then.

Thanks for the Back-Up from someone Abusing Personally. Where it's not Needed

And how do you you know I am Blantely Wrong? How would you know if I am wrong? Do you work for the Club?

I've always been a fan of Col Sylvia. I always used to think he'd be a gun in a good team, much like those such as Brett Deledio and so on.

I'm sure his attitude would change if he was with us. Hell, it might even make Swanny want to extend his career further.
