I think it's identifying where we can get maximum benefit and improvement to our team when trading for Treloar. I see no real gain in swapping Sidey for Treloar. A few years we gain but lose outside and endurance within the team at the same time.

If this years draft is pretty weak and even next years, I still think we show massive improvement going with a 1st rounder this season and player or 2 first rounders.

It'll be a balanced trade.

I do think clubs will "trade" out players a lot more in the future before their contract expires.

Essendon is the side who I could see making a big play for Sidebottom as a free agent, a lot of their mids are getting on in age and they don't seem to have a lot of kids coming through. Although I think we'll see more players being traded a year out, unless we're certain Sidebottom's walking I'd hang onto him. He's the sort who could play well past 30, plus with reduced rotations and Sidebottom's high endurance the game could go his way.

Given they want a first rounder and Jeremy Howe for melkshem, we could get a first rounder, Daniher and hooker for sidey.

With all this talk of Witts supposedly not wanting to be traded interstate but will entertain a move to a Vic based club and with reports of us cooling on MK, do any of you think that where only down playing our interest in MK because where waiting to see if we can get a reasonable trade for Witts.....I mean obv where not gunna try lure MK if we can't off load Witts.....it's hard to gauge anything sometimes with these media reports!!

Hard to crack into that Hawks team. Especially when you play a similar style of game to Gunston. He has some tricks too.

These are the types we should be targeting. Struggling to get games in top sides (not due to lack of ability) not struggling to get games in bottom 8 teams.
