Balme said as much this morning but that is also the 'off the record' view then? Are they going to fight it or just let him go?

Nothing they can do, Brisbane basically will decide his fate. All I know is they believe he will end up at Carlton.

Will be interesting if they get Bell slightly cheaper for gifting the blues aish.

Selwood would send our midfield back 3 years.

There is no way the club sees Selwood as an option. A run with player where we already have the Caff coming back from injury and Crisp recently pulling a top 5 Copeland in his first year.

If Aish and Treloar comes, than where do you play Selwood. that's right, you don't!

Can only be slightly cheaper as in not to make too obvious. Eddie would have mailed AFL HQ already with a 'Please explain'

Witts is not asking for a trade and doesn't have 3 or 4 in front of him. as I said not comparable.

Not comparing situation's, justifying Carlton's action.

On Witts, he's no use to us playing VFL if he can help net us a player that will be in our best 22.

so your saying they are happy to give Aish up for a 2nd round pick?

I thought that was Macaffers role, he was rated as one of the best taggers in the comp at one stage.
So effectively you are paying Greenbuck $400k a season to tag?

Crowley was also rated as the best tagger in the comp...

On Witts should be in our best 22 IMO.
Mason still needs another 12 months, skills good but takes more than a year to learn positioning, decision making, when to go forward when to defend etc.

People seem to forget, Carlton are trading Bell because he wants out but they going to pick up a player that does not want to play for them. interesting

I doubt Carlton would entertain Aish if he put a large price on his head on a One year deal.

What about Grundy? I know you think Witts is/could be the best Ruckman at Collingwood since Monkhurst

If Scott Selwood gets to Geelong I can't wait to see him and Joel going for the same ball.
They'll head-butt each other and knock themselves out.

and Getting Even More Head-High Free Kicks:eek:

the Aish stance is all about the statement/ message its sending. Not a great look and business decision but they seem to think its in the clubs best interest.

Also its my opinion that Aish would have to have known this was a fair chance of happening and is happy enough to play for carlton.

TD after watching the Copeland and seeing the young group of players hungry for success I am not going into a discussion about Grundy VS Witts with you tonight. Too much on a high.

I'd just have Moore as the second ruck IMO.

Interesting. Brisbane would have to trade for Bell but it is no certainty Carlton can or want to pay for Aish.

Have no problem with that, that is the best part of having an opinion.
Good for discussion as long as it doesn't get personal.

Can't see the pies putting that much work into Aish for him to end up at Carlton. As Pickering said they wouldn't have requested a trade if they didn't think it would get done.

Yep or at least, something in mind where we could secure him in the National Draft. Get a pick inside 20 and whack a price on his head. Clubs will think twice.

No way will Aisho go to the PSD unless he wants to play for carlton. If he wanted to play for Carlton he would have nominated them as his club.
