So is this the kind of crap we have to put up with from you dumb khunts? Why not give it a rest for a while? What hurt more about losing last night was the predicable replies from the negative afl loving public.

You guys cannot handle any other code and feel threatened when something else apart from your code make the headlines.

Why not give it a rest, i like a lot of people are hurting this morning and we don't have to put up with the negativity and the celebrations from the anti futbol afl public.
good to hear a tosser like you is hurting :thumbsu:
If you love soccer so much why do you persist in posting on a football forum ? why not go over to the soccer forum and stay there

Re: Can you imagine playing AFL for 2 hours without any team scoring....

Soccer, by it's very nature, can be a very dull sport at time.

But likewise it can be very gripping. see Croatia and Japan games.

I think the things that draws people to the game is that a team can dominate and dictate play for the majority of a game (from my knowledge of soccer i wouldn't soccer Australian dominated last night as Italy had some pretty dangerous attacking moves, but Australia did dominate the tempo of the game because they had more ball) and still have to hang on in the dying stages to win it, or even be behind in the dying stages.

For me, i'm not a huge soccer fan. I enjoy some aspects of it. I must admit i enjoy the business side of it, clubs buying players etc,. but i wuoldn't want to see that translates into Australian Rules Football. It works in England and Euorpe but would never work in Australia IMO.

Some of the goals and saves are quite spectacular. But i find it tedious (very tedious at imes) to sit through 90 minutes, plus over time plus half time, to get maybe five or six highlights in a game....

and in the last minute it was up to a white maggot to get a call right to decide a game? What a crazy game is the worlds most popular.

There would be AFL riots every week.

Soccer is a great sport if you like being teased for 2 hours without anything to really cheer about.

..sorry Im tired after staying up like everyone else.
on the other hand it sort of puts into perspective how pathetic many supporters who constantly complain about AFL umpires and the rule interpretations are

in AFL the better team wins on most occasions, irrelevant of a bad umpiring mistake.......the players themselves are the ones who determine the winner

soccer on the other hand, the Aussies dominated all game(prob due to another dodgy decision with the straight red card that forced the italians to be even more defensive then usual)...but had the game taken off them by a ref decision

was absolutely gutted....next time tazza doesn't get a free or lloyd/bucks gets a cheap one for a dive i dont think i will have too much to complain about anymore

Re: Can you imagine playing AFL for 2 hours without any team scoring....

I actually woke up with three minutes left, just enough time to see the penalty (which I'll admit was wrong).

So there, I got in three minutes what most people got in 90. And I got more sleep, to boot.

Are you even relevant? You are nothing but a small minded ignoramus. Go away and comment on things you understand you annoying twit.

Seriously do you have any intelligence at all? How the hell do you live with yourself knowing you are just so incredibly stupid blues man? Answer me that question.

Re: Can you imagine playing AFL for 2 hours without any team scoring....

I'm not afraid of soccer over-taking footy in the popularity stakes in Australia, cos it will never happen.

The greasy wogs can watch all the soccer they like and they can watch Australian soccer, during summer because the A-League cannot compete in winter with footy or even Rugby league, that is the standing of soccer in this country.

I, like thousands of others, watched the soccer to see Australia compete and would watch Australians compete in anything. If i watch another soccer game in this world cup it will be in the Final, but it's played at 3am, so **** that.

Soccer is boring to watch and boring to play.

wow look at all these lemmings come out. "OH NO HE IS HAVING A GO AT THE BEST CODE IN THE WORLD THAT IS ONLY PLAYED IN - AUSTRALIA"

hahahahahaha so predicable. You aussie rules morons can jump up and down till your blue in the face, but nothing will change the fact that futbol is played and loved by most people in the world, unlike aussie rules.

hahahahahahahah

Let me remind you of this gloating post you made - My heart bleeds for you little man.

So you took it out of context and spun into just me boasting. Why don't you also quote the hate from afl people?

Or do you get your posting skills from reading the herald sun?

I still stand by my remarks. 2 billion people around the world can't be wrong.

Was there any reason why you had to use a racist remark in your reply? Is this view still held by anglos in this campaignerry?

As i keep saying, 2 steps forward 1 step back in this country.

I don't know, Goldstink is pretty bad? Especially if he has his whipping boys Hawthorn or Essendon annoy and talk down to!

Your odious hatred (read envy) of Melbourne is well known on this board - most of the hate on these threads has come solely from you.

Oh that’s right there is never any drama with umpires in the AFL such is the perfection of the code. That’s why billions around the world cheer the might of Collingwood ever weekend. Take your blinkers of people please.

AFL is not immune from criticism ok. We hear and read ever week the countless whines from the fans about the rules, about the umpires, about how the head honchos are ruining the game, about how footy is not what it used to be like.

And then you morons have the hide to kick futbol when its down. How pathetic are all of you.

Soccer on the other hand has a bunch of pansies running around falling over blades of grass and getting carried off. pathetic. That is why I agree with nathan Brown that it won't be big in Australia because the people who play it are regarded as soft. We like tough sport players not nancies that play that game.

And that game last night just goes to highlight the very things that are totally wrong it. Cheating refs and soft players. 92 minutes of boredom to be robbed by that absolutlely pathetic decision.

Again.......if ya dont like it dont watch it. People who have never played the game dont understand what skill is involved. Hence, they dont understand the game. If you dont understand it then you generally wont like it so I suggest you dont watch it. Its not that difficult a concept. Its unfortunate really.

there is not enough resources in australia for AFL to be seriously threatened by soccer, but besides isnt the a league played during summer? so therefore soccer would only really threaten cricket. and i never see any afl verse cricket arguments

Cricket threatened by soccer??? haha, cricket has nothing to compete with ,it's Australia official summer sport, the A-league dosn't take anything away from Cricket!

Cricket is healthier thann ever! :thumbsu: :)

This is a perfect excuse for people to come out and bag the code. Which is ironic considering AFL played away from the elite level is really bad to watch.

My cousin explained it perfectly when he saw two bottom sides playing bad footy. Its like watching a group of u/6 kids playing soccer on the weekend chasing the ball.

Seriously AFL might be exciting when 2 top 4 teams play, but **** me when it is bottom sides playing the game is a farce. It aint perfect.

On the quizzes that SEN have from time to time, one of the questions was, what is the lowest winning score ever in afl/vfl match?

The answer was 1 point. If I rememebr correctly it in the early 1900's in a game between st.kilda and geelong, I dont remember who won.

They contestants were basically counting from 10pts until they got to 2pts, then the next guy actually said zero. Im pretty sure he wasnt being joking coz he sounded pretty confused.

Billions?
Are you saying that there are billions of people on this planet that support soccer every weekend?

Yes soccer might be the most popular sport in more nations than any other sport, but if you go on by the amount of people that follow a sport, then i reckon cricket might give soccer a run for its money primarily because of the sub continent.

Althought whatever crazy sport they play in China, probably has to do with executions or something, may come close.

I am very proud Australia has an indegenous sport here. I do not follow what the world thinks, we have our own culture here thats been around for 150 years.

Again i do not follow what 2 billion people think, we have our own great game, so what if it's not played globally, that dosn't change my love for Aussie Rules!

Im not a sheep, and am proud that we have Australian Rules Football. :)

What about local leagues, such as the SANFL?

If you call that poor standard, you're not a true footy fan.
