Still really upset but thankful it wasn't a final. You'd never, ever get over it. We still have a chance to snag an upset in the next two weeks to give ourselves a chance of 15 wins for the year, which could see us sneak 4th.

Plenty to be happy with last night and plenty to be murderous about. The one moment that stands out the most for me is the non-free kick for incorrect disposal in the dying minutes at the scoreboard end. After a night where the umpires practically spent the whole time performing oral on their whistles, to not pay that was pure incompetence. And if it was paid the Houli moment would never had occurred.

2 games where the other team was robbed by the umps and missed a gf because of it. Also port didn't convert that day either
 
One more thing, Lyon's response to the 'water' 50m reveals what an utter knob he is. Equating squirting water over a journo in a press conference with being squirted out on the field when you're sweating like a pig. Just stick to making our great game as ugly a spectacle as you possibly can, you total prat. If he ever wins a flag I'll spew up.

This is a stupid rule but was brought in years ago. I remember is getting done a 50m for it in 06. Stupid rule but at the same time what was Martin doing in that situation. It was almost like he was begging the ump to give a 50 for it.

Your lot looked impressive. Poor kicking is poor footy and you could have closed the game out earlier in the fourth. As for free kicks leading to shots on goal. I think it was three each. There was too much whistle all game and also some shocking missed calls both ways.

The commentary and our skill errors were the worst part of the game for mine. If you guys can convert you should give Hawks a bit of a run. Good luck.

Lyon is a dead set w***er. Would love nothing more than him to lose another flag at the last hurdle.

Thanks posh. Only thing I disagree with is that by my calculations you had at least a plus two goal differential as a direct result of poor ump decisions. Having said that, great stuff from the Dockers to knuckle down and get the win. Good luck for the rest of the year.
 
Seriously tho, the umpiring has become an utter joke. The games are going to become unwatchable soon becoz of these peanuts!
Imagine losing a gf becoz a player squirted a bit of water and the ump paid 50. How bloody soft!! And not to mention that holding the ball that was not paid with a few mins to go. He had ample time to get rid of it, gets caught with a great tackle and drops the ball.
It's un-Australian not to pay that free kick!!

Its because bozo commentators/coaches etc say to pay the free kicks to the rule book, not quite understanding the umps will then pay every conceivable tiggy touchwood free they can. Its a free off right now.

We have a harder draw, so even if we won of freo, we still could drop down to the lower part of the 8. Hopefully not.
