We need a Martin Tyler type or Benaud. It’s terrible at the moment. And i big issue i have as well is the commentary teams push AFL agendas and initiatives. It’s scripted.

My order of preference (highest preference first).
1. Crowd noise only on the TV
2. TV and radio being in synch so I can play the radio and turn the TV sound off
3. Crowd noise and someone calling the players names only on the TV
4. A combination of chainsaws and car alarms going off for 2 hours
5. The current commentators and their "opinions" on everything

I agree with what everyone is saying, but I think we want from the commentators and what TV stations want from them are differnt things. The fact is that passionate supporters of AFL and our respective teams are going to watch the games irrespective of what clowns they get commentating. To TV stations the AFL (and any other sport that they televise) is simply a form of entertainment. The TV stations just want people tuning in and if they are able to get more people tuning in who aren't quite as invested in the game as we are because a buffoon like BT is carrying on then his and their job is done.
