The problem with Mundy is he is gutless - so he tries to find space, and then looks like he has time. Mundy is a good reader of the play, don't get me wrong, and is probably tailor-made for the Health Black role... but he is still a gutless wonder and will never be able to "blanket" an opposition player because his body on body work is shit and his overall commitment is lacking.

The problem is that we only see his best when he plays as the loose man in defence.

Mundy appears to have "excellent skills and a cool head" but most defenders will look like this when they have the extra time which goes with being the loose man floating down back.

You think so many of our players are gutless, weak or hopeless but you think the coach should be sacked if we dont win games:confused:

Mundy is one of a couple of gutless players on our list - its the coaches job to get rid of them if they are damaging the team. Mundy has his place in the team, but he will never be an elite player, he will be a journyman, because he is gutless and consistantly dogs contests.

Mundy does not appear to have the body size or the height required to play a similar role to Grover.
Munday is 192 cm and Grover 188 cm so you'd think Mundy would have the edge. In any case I didn't say role, I said class.

Playing man on man he seems capable of picking up the 3rd or 4th best opposition forward and not much else.
Eggs-zachary. That's why I was saying he needs to step up in class.

If your right your right, but I sit in a pocket at the home games (so I get a pretty close look at all of the defenders) and Grover always appears to be a clear 10 cm taller than Mundy.
Well according to the Club web site.

Perhaps its just becuase Mundy so frequently drops his head so he just looks shorter.
No argument from me that he's the softest player in the side. His tackling is lamentable.

On the other hand maybe the gutless ones are those who sit on footy forums and take potshots?

This is a forum mate, opinions welcome, and while his are usually stated more forcefully than others it would be hard to disagree with:

1. Mundy isn't or hasn't been good one on one.
2. He at the very least comes across gutless (he may not be) when it comes to a contest, tackling or the block.
3. He has not (like a number of other players) come on and improved.

Until these areas change it is hard to argue anything said about him, which is a shame because he has all the ingredients talent wise to be a AA player.

Enough with the Mundy bashing!

I became Mundy's buddy because I was sick of him being trolled by obese ******s who sit behind me in block 317. Look - it's several months until the season starts, so there's no form to go on. Let's stop bashing particular players until we have something CURRENT to base it on. :(

I didn't think i was bashing him mate. I simply said it is hard to defend him, which is a shame as he has the talent to be or do anthing.

And you are right in the we have no new evidence to base a verdict on all we have is what he has most recently done. And that unfortunatley is not enough, though again i reiterate he couyld be anything and hopefully will turn into the star that we all want him to be.
