Is it just me or now that you picture him in a Blues guernsey he doesn't seem that bad?
it was the same for Mick McGuane, I couldn't stand him then he came to Carlton and he was alright.
Hopefully he won't be such a D I C K head and actually play some good footy.
My Guess is he'll wear no. 28 next year and Ackland will wear no. 11.

Well, that's ruined my day.

Guess I'll move my rant into this thread then.
This bothers me on so many levels.
A) Hes a Cloke
B) He hasn't been training with us which means we have only had at most a couple of looks at him to see whether he is still up to it or if he gets along with his teammates
C) We have drafted another recycled dud
D) We have replaced 1 mediocre ruckmen with an even worse mediocre ruckman who probably won't even play in the ruck.
Somebody please tell me that he has only been offered a one year deal, because if we have given him two years then I'll be furious that we took him over Bryan.

You must be kidding? Matthew Hogg knocked him out when he turned up for training drunk. He played a handful of games and was useless

Ok we are all obviosuly against this, but no point in all now giving him ******** around the club.
Fact is he is now a Carlton Player - lets all jump behind him and hope with a supporting club he can change his attitude around, get fitter and play to his potential.
BTW you can go over my posts, not a fan at all of his!! But just dont think this backlash will help anyone now. Should all look for positives and get behind him!

I for one think that players do become better in some instances in a new club and under a new coach.
I don't rate Malthouse too highly and it seems neither does Damir Jason and Cameron.... also the Collingwood hierarchy was tough and expecting too much from him?
Let him settle and see what eventuates.. Let's hope Rats, Braddles and our recruiters who did such a good job in the ND got this one right!

Agree, not happy with this pick but no point bagging him - he is a Blue now . Hopefully he'll turn out decent, can't see him around the club in the long term, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong, and see him become a good player for us.

Where can we see the improvement coming from? He is 22, so he has been in the system for a while. His disposal is average at best, he was always a second off the pace in every game I watched him play, poor decision maker, below average hight/built for a ruckman, and worst of all..... he's a CLOKE and we're going to have to put up with Damir Clokes rubbish.
All jokes aside. I hope we can mould him into a CHB/Ruckmen who gives us good service and can put together a handful of games this season and in the future. He no longer has the expectations of being at his fathers former club or the comparisons between him and his brothers

I'm getting a bit jacked off with this Dimir crap! As I've said previously he no where near as bad as Dave Allison. Get over it.
i think you hit the nail on the head there one_twelve112. Maybe he will do ok at Carlton - find a spot in the HB line, and free up a few of our other players, such as Lance to play forward occasionally, and Bower, Thornton to have a run off the flank.
