Coniglio had an amazing start to his career must of been a top 5 Brownlow finisher at one point and then dropped away, had a lot of criticism and a couple of lean years.
This year has been underrated in the AFL 6th in total possesions and 3rd in score involvements. Hats off to Coniglio great to see him get back to his potential and fulfill a great career in the next 3-5 years.

Another great talent who could have been a huge star of the competition at a big club unfortunately ruined by GWS. How much have the expansion teams stolen from us imagine if Jeremy Cameron never left and just played his whole career in anonymity at GWS

If these teams existed 30 years ago Wayne Carey or Ablett Snr could have been drafted there and no one would even remember them today

Ablett jnr went to an expansion club and won a Brownlow and is considered one of the best ever still.

I don’t think it is impossible to carve out a good career in one of those sides, some consider Greene the best in the AFL atm.

His downfall was a case of too many good quality academy picks. They stuffed the side with quality but it was incompatible and likely hurt their ability to develop cohesive game plan. He got forced out of the guts due to having forward craft and then faded out form when he couldn't get into games. Taranto and Hopper vacate and bam, he's back.

silly post

gws have a pretty great track record of developing talent and being a competitive side that is worth watching. evident that a lot of their players love playing for the jumper as well due to the solid club culture the likes of ward and davis have helped create. they might not get the attention players at bigger clubs do from the tabloid papers like the hun, but footy fans who watch more than their own team will be watching and appreciating gws players

compare this to some far bigger teams that have morphed into places where talent goes to die and i think cameron, cogs etc going to gws is quite a good outcome

Yes that’s true I remember him kicking 3 in a WAFL grand final that Andrew krakeour was amazing in at aged 16.

Which of his seasons warranted his 7 year deal ?

Kelly has had 4 seasons of averaging at least 25 disposals and 0.5 goals per match. That is V good. Something even Sam Mitchell achieved only once in his career though it can be attributed to the different roles they played.

Congilio also has 4 seasons of averaging 25 disposals and 0.5 goals per match, two of them have been 25 disposlas and 1 goal per game seasons.

So they have had some v good seasons, but both have been curtailed by injuries.

Never forget

Huh?? Do you actually watch the games??

Jeremy Cameron was amazing at GWS - best forward in the game - until they kept drafting forwards that were no good and playing him out of position.
