A young defender has signed a new deal with the Cats

CONNOR O'Sullivan, a Telstra AFL Rising Star contender, has signed a two-year contract to remain at Geelong until the end of 2028.

The 20-year-old wasn't out of contract until the end of next season, but is now locked in at GMHBA Stadium for another three years.

Athletically elite and yet also possesses a true footballer's feel for the game.

Clearly hates being beaten and is always working to become the best he can be.

Not afraid to express himself out there and is prepared to take a risk to see a reward.

The #14 is in very safe hands.

I watched the Lions vs Cats VFL game up here in Brisbane last year and he was already pointing and yelling instructions a handful of games into his professional career. Pretty cool that the #14 was passed from one natural leader to another.
