It's going to be a new era for us as a Club, how about we make it that for in here as well. Clean slate for everyone and let's move forward.
Does that mean Crow-mo will be allowed back in here? :thumbsu:

5AA and Rucc reckon the process is still a week away from being finalised. Theres testing and the board meeting. What a crock.

C'mon Crows heirachy extract the digit, the field of QUALITY would be coaches is thinning quickly with Scott Watters firming into favourite for the Saints gig apparently.....bit surprised Scott hasn't been more on our radar actually...

ST KILDA has already started targetting its next coach and the Saints' first stop would appear to be at Collingwood.
Scott Watters, the Magpies assistant, has loomed quickly as a replacement for Ross Lyon, although Watters is unlikely to be St Kilda's first and only inquiry.

The Saints have already made contact with Watters, via chief executive Michael Nettlefold, and it's believed Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse has given Watters his vote of confidence.

The confidence being that Watters has spoken to Malthouse about his future, and Malthouse told Watters he was ready to be a senior coach.

If Watters wins the position, Nathan Buckley's coaching group would take another hit. He has lost one key assistant already after Mark Neeld accepted the position at Melbourne.

Watters has a deep football pedigree.

As a player, he won South Fremantle's best-and-fairest before being a pre-draft selection for the West Coast Eagles in 1988.

He played for the Eagles, Sydney, Fremantle and coached Subiaco in the WAFL competition from 2006, reaching three consecutive grand finals for two flags.

He joined the Magpies in 2010 and quickly established a solid reputation.

In his favour in his bid to coach St Kilda is that he has coached his own team.

The Saints, reeling from the departure of Lyon, will search long and wide and it's not known if an experienced coach or first-time coach is their preferred candidate.

That the Saints were quick to inquire about Watters suggests they are open to a ''younger'' coach.

Age is reporting that McCartney has pipped Cameron for the dogs job. Expected to be announced today.

Another one drops.

Looks like we can really take our time now with only the saints looking and they're miles behind.

Melbourne radio reporting Brenton McCartney about to be announced as the new Western Bulldogs coach......another Quality assistant out of our grasp by the looks of it.....

He'd stop straight away.

He's got to get over here quick smart and start firing people.

Agree with the above, and it will benefit the AFC a lot more if he has a couple of extra weeks before trade period to get his head around the mess our list is in at the moment. We will benefit a lot more than from this our prospective coach getting irrelavant experience in a prelim or GF which is unlikely to be used at the AFC for at least 5 years anyway.

This is great!

Let's wait for St. Kilda to announce their coach and then we can make the move! Club apologists would say that McCartney was not in the running with us anyway COMPLETELY missing the point about this whole thing!

Well done AFC for your efficiency and exceptional professionalism! :thumbsu: Public sector moves at a more rapid rate than you lot!

Everybody said Cameron was a shoe-in.

Well not everyone, this is what I posted to Vader:

"No offence Vader, but regarding Cameron you dont know that, its pure speculation and until someone signs no one knows. Do we want to take the risk?"

What if burns flunks the remaining stages and due to our extensive processes, are left with nobody (Bickley included). We have left ourselves no option.
