Starcevich definitely isnt the savior some think. 1 disposal so far and nothing in the other finals.
Didn't he give Long a bath against GC?

If he did, it was the Barrass spoiling game. He didnt touch it himself either.
He's a lockdown defender though, he isn't really judged on his stats.

Wat?

They're both shit.

Prime Goldstein is a country mile better sure, but 43yr old Goldstein on the other hand is just as lame so why would you bother.
Todd Goldstein is not shit my dude. Almost 350 games at the highest level in a position in which we are very inexperieced. He's also not 43. No spring chicken, sure. Far from it. He could teach more than a thing or two to our current setup though, that's for certain. Our most experienced "ruck" is Bailey Williams on 80 something games, and then Matt Flynn on just over 50 games. Lord knows Harry Barnett could use a real mentor..and we just so happen to have an opening for a ruck coach.

If he came for free and wanted to play a bit here and there before transitioning to coaching, I'd jump at that. I'd even jump at getting him straight in as ruck coach, but we may need to throw him a few games to make that happpen if he's to move across the country. He's a journeyman who got the absolute best out of himself, despite the naysayers he has had a stellar career. Throw him 1 year on the rookie list

Just on Lachie Neale, and the unlikely scenario that he is contemplating a move to us.

I see a lot of posters suggesting that a Lions win today makes it more likely that he packs up and heads west...Would this actually be the case though? If they win, you'd think he'd be confident in loading up again next year and trying for the three-peat. If they lose, well you've got the prospect of climbing that mountain to the top all over again.

No idea what he'd be thinking, but if it were me and a three-peat was on the cards I'd be sticking around to try and be a part of that. If I lost, I'd be more likely to leave and start anew. Just my take.

Minor knock to starcevich. Happy to recruit him but only for minimal wage/draft pick. The guy cant take a hit at all these days.

2nd or 3rd round at best for Starcevich. And a short contract. Any game could be his last
