What's up with CDT not playing any talent league at all?

I'am just frustrated with this guy because I believe that if he had just played a consistent block of games as the main ruck then maybe it wouldn't be too stupid.

However, as it stands, he's an undersized ruck that can't win hitouts and has ok forward craft, not something we need at the moment.

Duursma at least makes sense, Sharp is that other one, heck even trading down is a good option.

I have never wished for a prospect to be a 'mummies boy' as much as I was CDT to be.

Bad list decision but sadly one that I think we'll make going by our list managements form.

Don't forget CDT's "elite" VFL game where he bagged 3 goals (from a couple soft spud free kicks) and couldn't clunk a mark to save his life.

Yet VFL.com and every draft ranking site froths like he just proved to the world he's a unicorn.

Excluding academy, Duursma, Sharp, CDT, Lindsay and Cumming are likely to occupy the first five picks IMO. Greeves, Schubert, Marsh, Grlj and Hibbens-Hargreaves would be strong chances for the rest of the picks.

Hopefully trade up for GCS pick and split pick 1 if means getting 2 x top 10 picks off the Tigers or Bombers.

He has been playing VFL and I think we pick him or trade the pick to GC.

We had a handful of players take illicit non performing drugs and lied to the club about it never failed a drug test and we got threatened with de-registration.

Meanwhile Essendon deliberately cheated the competition by the use of PED’s bye tried to cover it up and the AFL bent over backwards trying to make nothing of it until…. only finally doing something when ASADA insisted.

IMO we dont need pick 2 to land the 2nd highest rated player on our rankings.

There are likely 3 to 4 players ranked so close it doesnt matter. Sharp, Cumming, Lindsay and CDT.

There's a fair bit of this sentiment around and I have to say I disagree.

I understand everyone's patience has been used up over the last few years but we have tons of time.

We are trying to get the big foundational pieces of our next run (probably 3-4 years away) on the team. So if the recruiting team thinks CDT will be better than Sharp in 5 years time you absolutely do that.

On another note, people are really setting themselves up for disappointment with these pick 1 (or 2) for 5 and 6 style trades. There is zero chance the other team should/will do that.

Nabbing the GC pick seems a lot more feasible.

CDT (Talent League) vs Sharp (U18) = Sharp

So what one metric has CDT bested Sharp besides from Combine??????

It's really cant be argued that both Sharp and Duursma are not a tier above. There is no competition between the two against the rest. I'm not even freaking including underage performances which Sharp wins by a length of flemmington
