An excerpt from an article from The Worst website:

Perth announced yesterday that former Fremantle fairest and best winner Troy Cook would be their captain for the 2008 season.

Perth coach Simon Eastaugh said Cook, who was awarded life membership of the Dockers last year, was a logical choice to skipper the Demons.

“Troy is the perfect candidate for captain of the side,” Eastaugh said.

“He has proved to be a performer on and off the field and he will provide the type of intensity and professionalism that we will expect from the playing group in 2008.”

Last year he was nominated for Cleo bachelor of the year and now this! Way to go Cookie! :)

nahhhh butler > cook

Sometimes, you blockhead, you need to understand when mindless trolling is completely inappropriate. This is a thread honouring a Fremantle club legend and congratulating him on his new position... your comments are neither funny nor welcome - and certainly not appropriate to this situation.

come back and have your "fun" in another thread on another day.

thanks IP, good call :)

The Demons have had a very lean last 30 years ( they were awesome in the 60's and 70's ), so I really hope they get their team together and head up the table.

Cookie will be a darn good skipper, as you know he will always give 100% of his talents and will do what ever the coach asks him to do. If the up and coming AFL players in his team, play with Cookies dedication, they will be a tough force.

thats it, atleast you know he will set the right example, i will say this though, the only reason i want to see perth successful is because of cookie.

Congrat's to Cookie, great bloke, great role model.

I wouldn't mind seeing Perth succeed because of the lean 30 years their supporters have put up with, they must be driven crazy by now. I'm getting 'desperate' after 17 years.

I'm glad the Cookie Monster can have an honour like this placed on him in the twilight of his career. Will always be one of my favourite dockers. :thumbsu:
