I possibly stand alone before you all to declare my love for this food.

Yep, even if it's straight from the can, just cook it up with some rice and that = awesome hot breakfast/lunch to me.

Anyone else like it?

-----------

Even the president-elect loves it:

Asked what he ordered, "We got the corned beef", Obama answered

nom nom nom

If you don't like it, sit in the corner and face the wall.

It must be an adult taste. HATED it when I was little, love it now.

Mind you I love any kind of meat in a borderline sexual way ever since I've been poor.

i'll eat it but i would never make this for myself and i wouldn't eat it from a can.

i wouldn't eat any meat from a can.

ewww that stuff is nasty :thumbsd: i'd have to be literally starving (and penniless) before i make the free choice to eat that over everything else that can be cooked up or bought.

Agreed.

Havent eaten it in 12 years i reckon. Not that I hate it, just dont go out of my way to buy/eat it.

Prefer leg ham in a sanger.

My dad loves it.. I like it maybe once every 8 weeks, but other than that its just a plain slab of meat.. hence why my dad loves it because he was brought up in a traditional english style of cooking.. (fatty foods and tasteless crap).

Corned beef and white sauce. MMMM.

and mashed spuds with peas on the side. :thumbsu: A friend's mother who has passed on used to have the best mustard sauce recipe for fresh cooked corn beef - the recipe went with her.

I love it sliced cold the next day on fresh bread & butter sangers as well - big door stopper ones. :thumbsu:

My mum would chop up left over cold corn beef and mix it into a pancake batter with maybe chopped onions and make a fritter type thing out of it - yummo with sauce.

When I was a kid, my Nana used to make great corned beef, served with a white parsley & mustard sauce & mashed potatoes, carrots & cauliflower with cheese sauce.

I buy the cold sliced silverside every now and then and have on sangers with mustard pickles. Delish.

Use to love the canned version until I read the ingredients.
