This is what we have become, ******* zombies.

That makes me annoyed. This is the abject cruelty of shitheads supporting this. They claim to want to protect the vulnerable.
Why don't you ask them what they want? Risk assess themselves. Only their too self absorbed in their dogma.

Average age of Spanish Flu deaths was 28

Average age of Covid deaths is 82 at last check

Do the maths on years lost and Spanish Flu is hundreds of times worse.

Even comparing it to this shows how morbid your idea of death is. Whether you like it or not, each death is not equal. A childs life is worth more then mine and mines worth more then a 95 year old. Thats just how life is. I tend to think alot of the "each life matters" people would be people who would watch a fire from a distance because there life is worth the same as whoevers inside the building. Reality is, if a child is in that fire, get your ass in there and pull them out, even if you are sacrificing yourself to do so. Thats just what life is

People can be easily fooled but Im not. I know your "each life matters" approach to the world is you virtue signaling yourself and giving yourself importance. Reality is, you are not important
So much this.
Those most compliant tend to be middle aged.
Least the young and the old who want to live out their lives.
There is something very sick about a society that puts the old above the young and while claiming to protect the vulnerable shits all over any rights left and dictates how they spend their final years.

So buying shit and putting it into a dusty cupboard isn’t really what I mean. I’m talking core policy changes.

What are the core policies to improve healthcare in this country as a result of this? I seriously haven’t seen any. I’d expect at least reduced education costs to encourage nursing, improved employee benefits to encourage it, a mandate on hospitals per sqm for population with particular focus on improving rural healthcare which was a great point of exposure it was said.

At this stage I mean purchasing a few 3c pieces of cloth isn’t cutting it for me. I guess I’m not easily impressed. Wow a blue car

Wait, you want policy changes that might affect healthcare in 5 years time?

I thought you wanted to know what was being done to improve capacity now.

Talk about shifting the goalposts.

I want policy changes now that might affect our current nurses now and in the future. You can go and tell after 5 years no more better working conditions, no more extra nurses and in general you are yesterday’s news so go away . I think they should get a bit more then that because I’m well not a selfish prick

None of which has to do with your original comment about what was being done to improve capacity for NOW.

So again, move those goalposts a bit more.

Nothing was done now either though. They bought stuff they couldn’t use and then did nothing with it, most which seems to have been donated by the Chinese government also when you nut down to it.

A real policy change now would involve creating more hospitpal capacity like literally now. In Perth we have two empty hospitals recently closed down. Mark should have these opened up, staffed and ready to go should he not? You know, something that actually exists is what I’m getting at, it’s visible and actually helpful

I mean Victoria was so underresourced they couldn’t even create a Covid only hospital after what 9 months...

Why are school children being asked to wear masks?

In this publication we report the results from the parents, who entered data on a total of 25,930 children. The average wearing time of the mask was 270 minutes per day.

Impairments caused by wearing the mask were reported by 68% of the parents.

These included irritability (60%), headache (53%), difficulty concentrating (50%), less happiness (49%), reluctance to go to school/kindergarten (44%), malaise (42%) impaired learning (38%) and drowsiness or fatigue (37%).

Or the Emperor Who Wears No Clothes could have used research which he sponsored. The DETECT Snapshot Program, which tested asymptomatic adults from a selection of employment groups, partnering with the Telethon Kids Institute tested 3000 school students in 80 schools, and 18,000 total tests there were zero, that is no community transmissions, without wearing masks.

Just had a look at the SRP board thread, FMD there are some loony whack jobs in there.

Though this set off the terrified in there, glorious stuff sorted and we all couldn't agree more, i haven't wore one ever.

I haven't worn a mask for about 3 months. No one stares at me or questions me in the supermarket. Everyone knows wearing a mask is pointless but most just mindlessly follow the rule. There's hardly any Sars-Cov-2 in the whole country, let alone in my area. Kids don't have to wear masks in supermarkets. You don't have to wear masks in restaurants or when you have visitors at home.

Unjustified, mandatory mask wearing in Victoria is an exercise in government overreach. It promotes an atmosphere of fear and confusion that we should reject.

which in turn set this terrified soul off

People are looking at you.
They think you are a flog but its not worth going there.

What has your great defiance achieved?

It does not promote an atmosphere of fear.
The only atmosphere of fear i see is irrational idiots who have an irrational fear of some sort of our government morphing into some sort of fascist regime due to making people wear masks.
I'm sorry it has caused you so much confusion.

Why was 1993 so high you say?
What specific event occurred in 1993?

Can Owen or one of those Covid lockdown lovers answer this one, they have so much knowledge so should know the answer immediately
No takers yet?

And the difference in 1993 was
- it's was more deadly,

- it disappeared by itself without vaccines,

- didn't fit the def'n of a pandemic so WHO changed the definition for next time,

- scientists were more ethical in 1993 and none could be paid off to tell blatant lies called predictions, on how deadly it could be, even though it was more deadly than the current?

And the internet wasn't around to spread fear and lies 24/7
It's interesting as it's the suppression of information by big Tech platforms on the Internet that has supported the narrative. Some using these platforms and others on the strange corners of Internet have been bringing that information out so people can see through the fear and lies.

Then there's a coordinated effort of media, who are probably owned by only six main players, who control the narrative and the power of money supporting big pharma, global organisations and people in power following the narrative and ignoring facts and evidence.

The study, involving around 2,000 people, found the vaccine offered "minimal protection" against mild and moderate cases of Covid-19.
South Africa has received 1m doses of the AstraZeneca jab and was due to start vaccinating people next week.

"Unfortunately, the AstraZeneca vaccine does not work against mild and moderate illness," Prof Shabir Madhi, who led the study, told the briefing.
He said that the study had not been able to investigate the vaccine's efficacy in preventing more serious infections, as participants had an average age of 31 and so did not represent the demographic most at risk of severe symptoms from the virus.

Which is essentially what their vaccine is. You get it but it suppresses it and creates a quicker and stronger response so you don’t get seriously ill

It does seem to be a case of the media hating these style of vaccines and really pushing those mRNA ones. Gut feel is a ton of money being thrown around to make sure this is the narrative told

What is the dumbest Covid rule you've seen? Obviously it's a long and illustrious list, but here are two contenders.

  • Playing cricket last week after rain. Sun came out, humidity about 100%. Disgusting. I wanted to get the tiger snakes moving sideways a bit, so rubbed the ball on my forehead to shine. Umpire saw this and quickly put a stop. "Can't do that", he said, and got the little spray bottle on sanitiser and gave the ball a wipe. I said, "but my hands are fairly sweaty too, and I think it's the same sweat". Just looked at me dumbfounded.
  • A mate from cricket works for the DSE. Mainly going into the bush and clearing fire trails. Being a government department, they are at the forefront of stupid rules. When there is two of them in the car, the passenger has to sit in the diagonal back seat to the driver. Science backed evidence for this i'm sure.

In all honesty it is this

The only person in W.A who has been allowed in without any quarantine is Andrew Forrest. Forrest contracted Covid early 2020 during a trip to his home country China. He applied for a exemption to not quarantine since he already had it and was granted a exemption from any quarantine. Three weeks after Forrest was granted his exemption the rules were changed to not allow this exemption.

In 2021, Forrest was the first person to come from NSW or a quarantine state without having to serve any more quarantine time once returning to W.A as he was given a exemption from his time in NSW

So in WA you have to wear a mask while driving if anyone is also in the car, including immediate family members. This is unreal. Struggling to wrap my head around this.

But what’s even more puzzling is that people are ACCEPTING this! They think it’s saving lives and stopping the spread. Sad.

These rules are stupid regardless but with no cases atm, it's totally ridiculous

We've had it very smooth since our initial lockdown in the middle of last year. It made everyone complacent over here (complacent to the bullshit that people like Dan Andrews do). From chatting around the last week, most people;

-Straight out love McGowan without question, our benevolent leader is 100% right. (55%)
-Are doing it because they won't want to get in trouble. (20%)
-Are going along to "be on the safe side". (5%)
-Don't give a shit either way, just doing it cause they have to (they don't but whatever). (5%)
-Think it's a huge overreaction. (14%)
-Straight out think it's the biggest load of shit ever and there's more of this in stock (1%) ie me.
