Im enjoying my social distancing at the beach, both walking and swimming. People stay the hell away. Love it.
and when going to the shower to rinse off they stand well away and dont come in and crowd you/rush you.
I thought you said that was the best part of the experience

Watching replays of 80s Grand Finals. What a time to be alive as an Essendon and Canterbury supporter. B2B in the same years (84 and 85).

1985 sucked. Surprise surprise high school turned out to be shit, the cricket team got belted in England and Essendon killed us in GF.

Just getting even for 83.

Mostly hating it. Some positives:

1. Lots of quality time with my daughter. She is off to school next year and aside from when she was really little, I haven't had much ongoing, regular time at home with her during the day. Has been ,ore get go,e from work and help with dinner and bed time and then squeeze in activities on the weekend. Forced to WFH I have been playing in the yard with her, making lunches together and riding bikes etc. it's been nice to get that opportunity. It's been hard to do my work but that's a small price to pay.

2. Saving $. I had cut my parking/petroleum expenses in half before this hit by riding my bike to work. Practically $0 spent since March 20 now. Not buying lunch and coffee at work would be saving me $30 bucks a week I suspect.

3. Hobbies getting a good run on the weekends in the absence of footy and my own team sports.

Are you finding you are eating more at home, especially on weekends, as the food is there readily available and you have nowhere to go?
as a long time work from home person, i was in a good groove, ate breakfast with kids, took them to school, came home and worked thru with a quick 30 min break for lunch, and a quick fruit snack and coffee morning and afternoon tea time. no snacking, nothing.

now, with other amateurs at home, not used to working from home, they are buying more food, snacking more, leaving out cakes and hot cross buns and it has severely stuff up my routine and food intake

i
want
this
to
end

ffs

Look on the bright side, the ask Billy Ray thread has been resurrected.

Yes and I'm eating more shit as we have plenty of snack food at home and i dont keep any in the office (deliberately).
Doesn't help that it's Easter so a bunch of junk food around that isn't always (eggs, Hot cross buns)

More than two weeks since I have had a drop of alcohol. My body feels much better without the stuff to be honest.

I had given up for a few months and had a few over Easter.(not silly just a shared bottle of wine over lunch)
It feels good to not have any today or the next few days
Will have a shared bottle on Friday with pasta
