Only exception is that retail workers arent flying in the face of a health risk.

but i do see your point

True, but health workers are trained in how to deal with sick and contagious people. WA has 551 cases in total and the health dept has 44,000 staff. So there are a lot of 'health heroes' going about their day to day jobs that have nothing to do with COVID-19.

It has definitely settled down a bit and community transmission is very low, but I would not have wanted to work at Coles in February when we were getting more and more new cases each day and people were flocking to the shops like animals.

Rediscovered my love for cooking.
It has been good. Started using everything in the fridge and eating all the leftovers working from home rather than buying lunch.

3 favourite "new" ingredients/meals/techniques.
- Spring onions. Always buy them now and put them in eggs, salads, pasta, everything.
- 1 egg Omelette with a wrap on top in the pan, flip add cheese or filling. Crisp underside and roll up.
- Smoking and long resting meat.

They are naturally full of umami
Cut the roots off, plant them and pick the new ones by cutting them at ground level, leaving the roots in and you will never need to buy them again

Talked to a mate, he loves it,spending less money, easier to get a carpark at the beach, less people in the surf with a chilled local vibe and heaps more fish, turtles, dolphins and whales because of less boats making engine noises.

We spent a bit of money in the 2nd half last year on unexpected things and dwindled our savings a little more than i would have liked. With working from home and cant do anything on weekends, wehHave been able to catch a lot of that savings back up the last 2 months and when we get our tax refunds in July/August will be back in a good spot.

It's made me realise that living in Melbourne has run its course, those few weeks the traffic was low and sound/light pollution were down were great.
