That’s awesome. Got a link?

I know the bloke who welded my tailpipe back onto the muffler (for $35 in under 30 minutes, legend that he is) was expecting a $10k assistance package, every cent of which was going to his apprentice so he didn't have to let him go.

Obviously small business owners are gonna need more help thru this.

Andrews has dropped the ball in relation to our public health system, we also have an abysmally low number of ICU beds and ventilators per capita, I am sure he will find some more money for Geelong Football Club redevelopments though in the next election.
Multiple gubberments have dropped the ball on this issue for an eternity and tbh, people only begin to give a * when it directly impacts their bubble.

It aint a government issue per se, it's a society one. Government expenditure simply corresponds with a perceived order of importance.

I'll leave it at that.

China is already on its way to ruling the world thru economic power. It's something they have done throughout history. Doing this has wrecked the economies of nations that buy stuff off them so they now don't have that power to the same extent any more.

This will cost China in the long run. What's the point of producing everything more expensively if no one has the economy to buy it?

I'd be more inclined to think the US dropped the virus than China and I find that hard to believe as well.

Most if the rest of that is wrong.
I tend to agree though don’t buy into the conspiracy side of it.

Those who think this was a ploy by China for world economic domination are not really in tuned to what’s actually happening in China now and over the last 3 months.
I have worked for large Chinese Manufacturer of Solar Panels for last 6 years. The company I work for is based in the Jiangsu province, few hundred KMs west of Shanghai, one of largest manufacturing hubs in China. I have been to China over 35 times and generally go over every couple of months. I was last there in October last year and previous to that in August. Already in August there were significant rumblings in regards to respiratory illness that was running amok and in fact a colleague of mine based in China lost his 69 year old father to it. It wasn’t

Is anyone else concerned on the low amount of Vic testing when compared to the other major states? Lowest per capita per outside of the territories and TAS.
not sure why our testing regime is lagging behind...

Incorrect. The scientific method produces unbiased news constantly.

The scientific method is not a person, nor is it a media organisation. It's a way of testing measurements to remove unconscious bias.

The moment people start drawing conclusions from those measurements bias comes into play. This was evident during the 20th century as physicists debated the results of a bunch of experiments that changed the way we view the world.

NSW has what 12 ICU beds per 100k people, we have 7. Sure, other governments weren't any better, but they have already been booted out for not being good enough. Andrews needs to join the pile.

I don't know how I would get through the day without your clarifications.

You need to cease reading sociology bullshit.

Isnt that wat is happening with dare I say the two taboo words on this Board?

Climate Change?

Everyone is going to need help.

I know nothing about economics, but I’d love to know why we can’t just pause all debt? America has gone down the corporate socialism route. Really hope ScoMo doesn’t follow

I'd love to hear the rest of what you were gonna say after the bolded.

The world military games were in October. If this bug, (not something else) was rumoured to be around in August then that puts that Chinese General claims of the US being responsible to bed.

But it's all speculation.

Ive got no problem with conspiracies. They happen all the time. It's a natural way for humans to plan and act, but I have big problems with a conspiratorial worldview or any premature certainty about anything. (What happened at * with the PEDs was a conspiracy and more followed to cover it up.)

Both sides of that argument are awash in bias. Wasn't always the case tho. That well known green left commie Magie Thatcher was convinced Climate Change was real decades ago. She was a chemist before she became a politician and had a BSc in Chemistry with some sort of honours iirc.

Even worked in a research facility developing, of all things, ice cream.

Because Australia requires a constant flow of foreign investment.

We'd actually theoretically ended that in recent months with a current account surplus, but in reality, if we paused debt, we'd pause our ability to borrow too.

" Already in August there were significant rumblings in regards to respiratory illness that was running amok and in fact a colleague of mine based in China lost his 69 year old father to it "

As a mate of mine noted. Some things popped up on you-tube and very quickly disappeared while he was online.

Interesting.

Interesting.

Okay. Why?

I don't know how I would get through the day without your clarifications.

Just keeping you honest. You should notice I don't do it when you make actual scientific comments.

No. I'm describing the debate around the beginnings of what we call Quantum Mechanics. It's got nothing to do with sociology. It's based on people disagreeing about what the results of experiments meant.

Some problems in that field can only resolve to two possible answers not one definitive one. It's the basis of uncertainty. It's actually fascinating stuff for a variety of reasons, one being where the limits of measurement actually are.

But this is hardly the board for that sort of discussion.

I'll just cut out the middle man in future and run my posts past you for editing prior to posting them.

Why don't you tell the board again about how Covid19 can't survive at temperatures ~ 9+ C lower than those encountered in the human body?

Delusional ****ing moron.

Try driving on country roads that are not freeways...

Where I live we have some of the worst roads in the country.

There are places where the road is simply decades of patching on top of more, older patching.

We used to have signs that said "no fishing in the potholes". We changed them to "no boating in the potholes" and the "no naval exercises without prior arrangement" ones are being made as we type.

Don't be a w***er. I misread 80 F as 80 C. It's an easy mistake to make.

I guess your head is so far up your arse you are distracted by how good you think everything smells.

You don't notice your own repeated errors.

Like thinking a debate over scientific results is sociology.

Adults can make mistakes and get on with things. You'll learn that when you grow up.
