Hey mate I made up a batch of the recipe you recommended (30% Aloe Vera gel & 70% metho. Toss in a few drops of tea tree oil.). Should it have claggy shit in it? It’s like the aloe and metho didn’t bond or something. Doesn’t bother me, I just want to make sure I did it right.

Hi mate, I'm an industrial chemist, so can probably explain this.
Metho is ~95% ethanol in water and some stuff that prevents you from drinking it. Aloe Vera gel might not be soluble in ethanol, so best to just use water and then moisturize.
below is a WHO guide for a basic hand sanitizer formulation.

Hydrogen peroxide is like your pool sanitizer, it preserves the mixture.
Glycerol is used in hand cream to stop your skin from going all dry, so just rub moisturizer afterwards.
Use cold boiled water if you can.

No. In a lot of movies/books it's actually airborne - everyone has the virus and when they die they come back as a zombie. Creating another issue because you might be relatively safe but if you've got a person that dies in your community (say in their sleep) they will come back and attack others. There's always that case of a crew in a nuclear sub having the last natural death and being told to stay underwater for as long as possible etc.

I prefer situations where some evolve or aren't affected by the virus as much and so keep some basic functions (perhaps the ability to lead, repopulate, or instead of shuffling they move at a faster pace). Another element that is different to the slow types seen in 'The Walking Dead'

Not sure whether that was to point out that he was slowly losing his mind or if it was part of the trap set by the lead Vampire. After all, they used his car trap and set it up to a point that it worked - rigging up a head that moves slightly would be easy in comparison. I'd go with the former in that instance.

Yeah i hate hocus pocus magical stuff. To me, that's more of a hybrid type. That 'Pet Cemetary' (burial ground) X zombies. In my opinion, it has to be believable. Just say it was a CDC leak or they were mining somewhere in the artic and found an animal that had a virus from over a million years ago - our immune system couldn't handle it and bang - death + reanimate.
