Was in contact with a huge crowd of Chinese tourists in late November in Lorne, two weeks later I came down with a flu like respiratory infection that laid me low over Christmas and really affected my breathing.

Was obviously not diagnosed as Covid-19 as it was brand new. Was sick at Christmas gathering, then went to two days of the Boxing Day test match.

Still have a touch of it 3 months later. Upshot is that a month after I was running and the first time in my life I had to stop because I couldn't breathe. Needed to use my wifes ventolin.

Would be interesting to be tested to see if I am now immune or if it was just co-incidence as there are a million other viruses I could have picked up. On the other hand I could be Australia's version of tyohoid Mary [emoji3].

On a side note. Mayhem at Coles this morning, all the high carb foods panic bought by all the fat kents, so this means they will get fatter, and higher at risk.

That was good you got back. I still think you need to live your life. I go to my mates every Friday and usually the pub on Saturday night and when footy starts, local that is and if it starts, I will be going there. We also need to support local businesses if that’s what we usually do otherwise their business maybe lost.

My son suffers from asthma & around April it worsens. He’s in a higher risk category than most. As such I’ll be taking a more cautious approach so I don’t bring the virus home & put him at risk.

I was in Europe around the time corona kicked off. Interestingly globally China were the laughing stock with their response to the outbreak. They have managed to grind the spread to a halt. Now Europe is following suit.

If what they're all saying about China covering up Covid-19 and trying to prevent people blowing the whistle on it with the actual virus starting much earlier than reported, then who's to say it hadn't already spread around the world much earlier then what has been stated.

Around Christmas-New Year period myself and a few family members became ill with flu like symptoms that were exactly those of which are related to the corona virus. It took me 2-3 weeks to fully get over it and at it's worst i could not stop coughing, had hot and cold spells and sore throat. Now it may have just been the regular flu, but it does seem suspiciously similar to what people are being reported to feeling. Dad spent the best part of 3-4 days in bed and went to see a doctor only to be told it was just the flu and just to keep up the cold and flu tablets.

With Doctors not testing for Corona virus that early, and most people only getting mild symptoms of which you wouldn't go to the doctor with unless you were really sick, how do we know that it hadn't already spread much earlier than reported?

Staff member at club was tested on Friday will get results back tomorrow.

I think we only get one round in this year, and then most likely teams will be made up of state league players and we get a condensed version of the game.

From what I've read the only reported cases in Australia have been from those who just returned from overseas or people that have been in contact with someone who just returned from overseas.

I think being so far away from the rest of the world helps us out. Hopefully we can limit the spread of the virus and I know there's bigger issues than the footy but it would be good to continue with the season.
