the defence quotes david hille
Hille should have got weeks. Cotchin should not have got off.

Cotchin has been a lot more physically aggressive this year, and on Sunday he stepped over the mark. He'll come back better for it.

Apparently Sam Wright is a test for this weeks game according to the Kangaroos website.

So the concussion could not have been that bad.

Obviously, it appears with the match review it is guilty, until proven innocent. The mathc review has stated there was inconclusive evidence that head contact had been made.

This is just a big joke by the MRP

Dumb act by Cotchin, but didn't deserve 4 weeks.
3 weeks with an early guilty plea= 2 weeks.

Maybe the AFL clubs, or fans of all clubs, should organise a wear X colour shirt/jumper or something as a sign that they're fed up with the MRP's inconsistent decisions during one of the remaining rounds?

If the media got wind of it, they'd surely comment during the match on tv/radio why the crowd are all wearing the same colour instead of club colours right?

Anyone think the loss of Jackson and Cotchin will affect our attendance numbers on Saturday?

I'd expect about 70k under normal circumstances, if the weather is kind, as is forecast.

Just looking at the ruling, all they needed to do was rule it body contact (which it obviously was), making it 6 activation points and a level 3 offense for 325 demerit points. They should also take into account an ublemished career (it's not his fault he hasn't played for 5 years yet) and reduce that by 25% to 244 demerit points. Cotchin would have plead guilty to that for another 25% reduction to 183 demerit points and a 1 week suspension (with some points remaining hanging over his head).

Even without the good behaviour discount, it's only 2 weeks if they acknowledge it wasn't high contact and he pleads guilty.

The system could work if they applied it properly. Idiots.

Looking then at Walker, there's no denying it was at least medium impact, which takes it to 5 activation points, level 2 and 250 demerits. Good record brings it back to 188 and guilty plea to 141. One week, which is acceptable.

They just need more intelligent people on their panel.

correct ranger but instead we have a bunch of ars lickers who do what they're told by the rorting, overpaid Cypo nd his dog,Anderson.

Re: Cotchin Gets 4 Weeks or 3 With Early Plea

It was deserved.. he didn't go for the ball.. went for the man.. had plenty of time to back out and didn't.. it might not be the way he normally plays but that was a very dirty thing to do.. It doesn't matter that it didn't get him high.. he could have lost a kidney from that type of contact..

MRP got this one spot on.

So Firrito mistook Nahas' head for the ball...is that kinda what you mean?

Adrian Anderson - is there a guy less qualified for his job in Australia? A lawyer who played a few games of the lowest grade of amateur football.

It's like appointing Billy Brownless a supreme court judge because he saw an episode of Judge Judy. No wonder he's turned the system into a farce.

This would have been a sensible result, which is why the MRP would never have been able to come up with it, I have watched the incident over and over and still can't see any head high contact...It's time the real owners of the game, the supporters and players, did something about what is happening to our great game, I think Jacksons twitter may have nailed it on the head.

Ahaaa, i get it, so its basically the same as
So it's 2 weeks. And since 1 week is NA weeks, there are 2 x NA = 1.2 x 10 to 24th power/ sin(2/NA) x cosine(67.9454/tan(NA) weeks. ;)

Now you're thinking like one of them.
