...Chris Fagan too

"While Daniher has one year remaining on his contract with Melbourne and is unlikely to negotiate an extension before next year, the club has re-signed its recruiting chief Craig Cameron until the end of 2009 and football operations boss Chris Fagan until 2008."

Good to see CC stay with us, he's one of the better recruiters in the league.

Great news! Both of these guys have been good for the club, and having some stability with the coaching/recruiting department can only be a real plus.

Good news, until I read about contract extension negotiation for one N.Daniher. Surely it's the last thing to think about at the moment. If we dont go top 4 next year and a prelim the guy better be gone.

Amen to that.

I disagree about Daniher, I'm very happy with him as coach - provided we don't have a disastrous 2007 I would offer him another 2 following that.

He's done well to rebuild the team and stay competitive at the same time, and I tihnk he gets better as a coach every year. this year for example, saw the introduction of a few extra gameplans.

I've never been as confident about our board, CEO, president, coach and football department as I am right now.

I agree with RJ here. There would be a shed load of other clubs that would love to get Danners on board. While he hasn't won a flag yet he is one of the best performing coaches of the last nine years.

Yeppa, same.

Have to agree with Marns on ND. Next year he will have been at the club for 10 years and if we don't at least make the prelim he should be gone.
Great news on CAC, the guy is a freak.
