89 was the only GF they played in the 80,s,think they lost 92,94 and 95 also, don,t quote me though.Which GFs did Geelong lose in the 80s?
Tks - poster earlier thought they lost "a few in the 80s" - think was only 198989 was the only GF they played in the 80,s,think they lost 92,94 and 95 also, don,t quote me though.
Hope they add 2022 to that list89 was the only GF they played in the 80,s,think they lost 92,94 and 95 also, don,t quote me though.
89 . Meant early nineties. Point standsWhich GFs did Geelong lose in the 80s?
I know. My dear dad thought that may be the case!Domie, what if you are cursing Collingwood?
There is 100% correlation with your support and us winning 2 out of 15 GFs
I know. My dear dad thought that may be the case!

Unfortunately have to agree.I can't take you seriously if you are suggesting we have had just as much luck go our way in finals.
But take luck out of the discussion. From the viewpoint of sheer shattering disappointment in leading five grand finals by four or five goals and losing all of them, that record is unmatched. Geelong lost a few in the 80s but they never looked like it in the Eagles games or the blues in 95.
I'm happy for others to not feel the angst I do but don't try to tell me the ledger is evenly balanced when it comes to luck in finals.
The Hawks won three prelims by less than a kick during their dominant run. We have lost three by less than a kick since 2007 .
15 grand finals for two wins in my lifetime. Seriously.
No, this happened when Fagan was football manager. Was Fly at the Hawks during this messed up situation?
Wright was List Manager? No, this happened when Fagan was football manager.
Yes and Bolton an assistant coach. We'll be shitting ourselves.Wright was List Manager?
He was only there in 2021, so not the period of concern. Was Fly at the Hawks during this messed up situation?
Brett Ratten there too?He was only there in 2021, so not the period of concern.
Wright and Bolton, however, were there. As were other current senior figures (Ratten, Fagan) and a prospective senior figure (Yze).
Yep, he was an assistant coach there 2012-2018Brett Ratten there too?
It's quite shocking isn't it? No other club comes close. I feel disdain when supporters from other clubs Mian about thier hard luck and heartachemy watching stats are:
At ground - 77D 77L 79L 80L 81L 90W 02L 03L 10D 11L 18L
At home - 10W
Is there likely to be a link to Flys speech last night at the Copeland? Love to see it, sounds like it was awesome.
Just watched his speech. Gees this club is in good hands for the next 10 years. Just hope the board doesn’t shoot us in the foot.I could listen to this bloke talk every hour of every day.
