There is a couple disposal that separate them, and If I had to choose right now Crawf or Harvey for this one singular year, I am taking Crawf.

stats don't lie, still has a big tank for his age, will be better than harv's in the overall picture

not that i don't admire Harv's, he is a champion, but he looks even better because he was surrounded with such mediocracy over his career and the majority of players that were stars, left to join other clubs.

Exactly, Harves is a great of the AFL and is probably the most liked football player in the league. I agree his career does out shine Harvey, but right now in this year with Harvey at the age he is, I am taking Crawf he has been stellar this season. I dont know how Crawf being on the football show has anything to do with the media talking about his performance in 07?

Did some great gut-running against port too.

Clearly remember the pressure he put on some Port player who was trying to discreetly shuffle the ball over the line. Crawf pressured and harrassed and ended up running away with the ball and sending it inside 50.

He applied this sort of chase 3 or 4 times that I could see on TV - I'd assume there was more that I didn't see because it was off-camera.

On ya crawf. Good to see a guy really enjoying his footy.

You'd be smiling if you had anyone that was Crawf's standard.

One of his best IMO.

Rather than being a playmaker, where his decision making is exposed, he has been given a role to play, because Hodge and Mitchell are the playmakers now.

His defensive chasing and tackling has been far better, and his role has often entailed being an offensive goal kicking threat, of which he's executed well.

I expect with him fit next year, to once again provide good value, when a more of the youth takes responsibility, and his responsibility will be less, so that he will be able to perform his simpler role week in and out.

Basically, due to greater team depth, his role plays more to his strengths.

He's had a good year, but has anyone else noticed he seems to be unsure what to do with the ball on many occasions, Joel Smith style?
He never used to do any of that, but this year its had me tearing my hair out, he stops, looks unsure, and sends a dangerous long handball down the guts of the ground. Dunno, might just be me.
Still a very handy player.

And Casper Wiggins .. is wiggins the carlton player? hes one of the biggest duds in the afl. for him to be anywhere as good as crawf he would need to be casper (invisible)

have a look at the age difference, the average disposald overall harvs wins.
mate ur a hawk fan but dont even try to say the most stupid thing, and thats harvs is tenfold better than crawfs.
i love crawfs and recognize him as a champ.
but even at his best did crawfs take players like riccuitto, campo, bradley, williams, kouta to the cleaners like harvs has done for a long time.
also the media talks up crawfs, remember harvs has never been in the media or the footy show for that matter.
at the end of the day achievements speak for themselves and harvs beats crawfs easily.

Rarely. In fact I notice that he is about the best at just grabbing the ball after a myriad of useless handballs and then just cutting a line right through the middle of a pack of players and then delivering lace out to one of our forwards. Makes other players look like they are standing still.

I agree, seen that happen a lot over the last month or so... also one of the few who doesnt always just handball short, sideways or backwards, been pretty good at putting other runners into space going forward..

i understand that champ.
but crawfs is a good couple years younger and hasnt sustained 20 years of footy like harvs has.
as a crows man im glad we got over the line, but saddened for harvs.
i hope he goes round once more, he deserves it.
