Howard should've been dumped after what happened in India in 2013 and the way stuffed up the shield comp last year. It just hasn't worked from day one. Him supporting the board in this is really an after thought

OK. Whatever.Sutherland is trying hard to spin it otherwise but the ******s at CA caved, excellent
Revenue sharing retained with the changes the ACA wanted and the compromises they were willing to make, including big changes to women's pay and grass roots, and CA got practically nothing of what they were trying to force through.
Sutherland, Roberts, Howard, and Peever all need to go, their positions are completely untenable and their reputations shot.

Howard has to support the board. To be honest the 2 biggest problems in the situation were Roberts and Alistair Nicholson...Sutherland needs to have afoot hard look at himself also for not getting involved earlier
In his and the rest of his high rolling mates defence they did knock back a fair whack of cash so state players didn't get stooged. Young Davey has more or less been an industrial superstar as much as it pains me to say itI wish David Warner would shut his gob on this contract stuff. I bet he and the rest of his high rolling mates are shelling out to help their younger state team mates pay their rent and bills while this drags on. He has completely lost me this bloke
He should go into the movie business as he was such a natural in front of the camerai think the players are probably sensible enough to understand Howard's position and job. He had to go with the flow. if anyone's under threat, it'd oughta be Kevin Roberts. Went from the board to the executive team and being the lead negotiator and he massively failed.
Agree 100% re Peever. As someone earlier on here said...its easy to bully and force individual contracts on FIFO miners with the threat of some 457 flunky walking in and doing their job for third of the price but its a little bit harder with a well organised and unified Australian cricket team.Great to see the impasse seems over and a settlement is in sight.
Can't see how Howard can continue in his hands-on role due to his partisan involvement in support of the board. Nor can I see how the union bashing Peever can remain Chairman.
Time for a thorough investigation into the ham-fisted way this shambles played out.
I read a lot of online comments about calling for Sutherland's resignation but I think he comes out OK from this. Took too long to get involved but when he did things got moving and had to front up with the humiliation of caving in to ACA.
Sutherland has been there much longer than that, since 2001 I think. Definitely time for change. It's also because Sutherland has been there for 7 years, and it's the sort of role that one person should not stay in for any longer than that
