I'm with you KS......this pick your best keeper/catches win mantra is a little tired and outdated....mainly espoused by the likes of Healy and Marsh who couldn't bat for shit (braces for impact). Plus they're all shite with both the gloves and the bat so ideal time to develop one with a batting bias...ie Bancroft
I've watched a lot of cricket over the years and your keeper really does set the standard in the field, so never been a fan of picking someone who bats well but their keeping is not international standard.
Plus I reckon you find that if they don't perform with the gloves , they generally don't perform with the bat either ie their confidence gets rocked by their keeping and it translates to their batting
