Some good signs Spider.. but to put it in perspective Tom Latham averaged about 150 against the Sri Lankans for NZ. Its a very weak attack
However it would have done the confidences a lot of good and you can only play what's in front of you

a worry is that your top order failed twice in this game to the new ball, and you wont get away with that too often in soap dodger land playing for the ashes. Not when their seamers are of a much higher quality than Sri lankas

Fair dinkum looked like he’d never picked up a bat before. Made Jim Higgs look like a legit alrounder.

That was a pretty big choke from the stars, game looked completely over for most of that run chase then just completely fell apart. Glad I woke up too late to put money on them!
