It's not just the former legends who have been treated poorly, let me assure you. Something about the culture at our beloved club is not right and has not been so for a few years now. As if our Club needs to alienate volunteers, coterie members, members, past players, legends... indicative of a major problem.

Good point out. SMART ex players, usually the blokes who weren't superstars, are the best coaches and admins. You'd be surprised at how often the 50-100 game defender or forward pocket who spent a couple of stints between AFL and VFL obtains the best level headed experience to compliment their intelligence to make successful post-playing footy people.

The comments came from a genuine place and to cop a serve from the CEO about relevancy is shameful.
Carl could have owned that question but he opted to take the alt route and we should expect better from a North CEO.
On a scale of Eugene Arocca and Rick Aylett he is closer to the latter.

Which is good, but disappointing at the same time. I keep expecting the club to surprise me by having the guts to make strong decisions and they keep letting me down. This is more of the same issue - thin skinned nonsense, they've had a dream run for years. Even when we combusted in 2016 the press gave us an out based on our "list" for about the 9th time in 10 years. At some point they have to own this team and it's performances and stop waiting for White Knights on field. We could have Kelly and Dusty this year and it wouldn't be enough to cover up the holes in how we have prepared and our system. We'd still have players running around that can barely get to a contest let alone win one and we'd still be trying to play every "good" player rather than having a strong system and if you're not the best in the role you don't get a game.
