I reckon by the end of today all 3 will be without a job.

Apparently Caro is claiming yesterday's "performance" was a protest by the players in response to the off-field dramas. **** me I'd be livid if that were true (which I doubt). Would suspend and/or sack players involved on the spot.

She also claims Scully will stay if Schwab is given the flick.

Will be a very interesting day for any MFC fan.

The crisis talks had to happen, although the only way Bailey goes is if he steps down as Jimmy is away.

Where are the links to this player mutiny? The last thing we need is to give any credence to the numerous rumours that will do the rounds after yesterday. We need to stick with the facts.

Apparently a heap of media are all slinking around the club waiting for some blood to be spilled.

Lowest form really, Hutchy would be digging through some dumpster out the back of the club.

It's what they do best. The media are loving every minute of it.

Probably with all the jumpers and shorts, sniffing through the jockstraps.

If true, any player intentionally putting less than 100% effort should be immediately stood down from duties, and traded at seasons end. ANYONE, I don't care if it was Brent Moloney or James Frawely, GTFO you piss-weak ****.

Footy Classified will be insteresting tomorrow night...

It's not the players fault. Admin has a lot to answer for.

Coach, GM &CEO.

If the players put in very little during a game because they wanted to send a message, the ring leaders would have to go. You can't let players run the club, the club belongs to the members not players. You get paid to play professional sport, if you are not professional, you should be sacked.

If the players DO have a problem with what is happening off the field, then that's fine. If they want to get something done behind close doors then I'm all for it. Every workplace has it's problems and a football club is no different. If Schwab, Connolly or whoever is not doing their job properly then something needs to be done.

But we as supporters deserve more than what happened yesterday. We are the lifeblood of the club and what we contribute through memberships, merchandise sales and so forth goes a long way to keeping them in a job. They should not, under any circumstances, serve up the slop that they did yesterday if they have a problem with the club and the way it's run. WE, as supporters, had nothing to do with that and we deserve to see the 22 players busting their arses for us no matter what is happening. We didn't see that and IF it comes to light that what went on yesterday was a form of "mutiny" by the players then many deserved to be dropped and I'd be happy to see them delisted or traded. I don't buy a membership and support this club for that sort of rubbish. We DESERVE far more than that.

Heads will roll from this and rightly so. I'm just interested to see which ones they are.

I'd take everything the media rolls out after the loss with a pinch of salt guys. It is concerning that Rivers has said they didn't care (although that's not exactly a direct quote). Those that played yesterday should be made to stand in a circle with Stynes in the middle and one at a time explain whether they "cared" and why. There's some lessons to be learnt, for sure, but things can only improve from here.

Wouldn't surprise me. Pretty strong rumour of a similar thing happening at Carlton during the dying days of the Pagan era. There were games against norf and brisbane where it was obvious half the side just didn't want to play, and went around at 60%.

Pointedly, most/all of the players responsible were moved on pretty quickly after that (most of them were rubbish anyway, to be fair). Bottom line is, you just can't decide not to put in and get away with it.

I highly doubt there would have been a united decision by the playing group to "lie down" yesterday, but something has happened behind the scenes which has really deflated the morale of the playing group, and as a result they could not motivate themselves for the game.

Yeah, the problem is, that our leadership group seem to be the ones who 'laid' down yesterday! We can't sack the whole leadership group if true, but we certainly can make an example of a couple.

It's hard to comment about the administration, as we don't see what goes on from a day to day perspective, but if there are issues, then this needs to be addressed right now. From a supporters point of view, a lot of focus has been pointed towards demolishing the debt, and the admin dept did an outstanding job in regards to that matter. But how they are running the football dept, I'm really not sure. I guess we will find out in the coming days. Maybe this whole handling of Junior and Bruce thing has finally come to a head...

Schwab, Bailey and Connolly can all go.

None of them are proven winners and none of them are part of the ingredients to take a team to a flag - at Melbourne or anywhere else.

It is a team that hasnt seen success.

Schwab started early as a football administrator but through that long journey that includes Richmond,Melbourne,Fremantle and Melbourne again he hasnt actually ever really seen success.

Connolly was part of a modest Hawthorn era along with playing days and coaching career at Fremantle.

Bombers won premiership in 1993, the year after Bailey was moved on from the Bombers. In 1992 Essendon were at the bottom of the ladder and copped a massive thumping by about 160 points.

Then again we appointed Frawley as head coach so we must have been working off same philosophy that blokes who havent seen success will apparently be more keen and able to get it. At least you wont need to see Bailey trying to be funny on Television in the future and wonder if an ape is more intelligent.

Stynes and McLardy meeting as we speak. (Source: Clint Stanaway, Twitter)

Who is going to be the first casuality...

I'm sorry, she's doing what?

Do you have a source for this?

2nd hand info but apparently she was saying this earlier in the day on 3AW. I think she was only speculating but if it was proven true it would be catastrophic for the club.

I would struggle to wrap my head around that.

Players deliberately throwing a game because they are distracted or angered by off-field turmoil.
