I wouldn't sing "soccer" songs at the footy as it's a completely different atmosphere and game.. and quite a few people might end up getting ****ed off about it.. those footy supporters who hate soccer. I get pretty smashed and yell out support all through the game so I do my bit, i get into a bit of chanting and stuff at North games but i wouldn't sing the same songs I sing at United games at a Crow game.

It's not as if the United fans came up with any of them. It wouldn't worry me too much personally, although if I were to sing I suppose I probably would prefer something more original.

Luke Jericho isn't our favourite player

If they hate it, then they're at the wrong game. Just because it isn't loud one minute, doesn't mean its going to be that way all the time.

Yeah you don't have to sing songs all throughout the game, it's a lot different to soccer, different pace and all that so there isn't really the time to sing songs flat out. Chants after a goal or when there is a ball up or throw in or something like that right in front of you are great to lift the team, but just screaming support at the team, abuse at the opposition and the umpires is all you need to do to make noise. That is what I do at games.

That was the plan anyway... to pipe up after goals, at goal opportunities and when the opposition make a f***-up.

I've still got one of those yellow 'A' hats tucked away some where. I've been waiting for them to come back into fashion. Still waiting.

I'd be keen for that standing room idea. One thing that is ordinary at AAMI is that our cheer squad is tucked away right down at the southern end with the soundproof corporate boxes and seagull shit. Why not plant them up the other end with the HUGE northern stand as a back drop ? Much better atmosphere up that end and at the moment it's wasted on the opposition cheer squad. Plant ourselves at the northern end and hopefully upset enough cardigan wearers that they request to shift seats, clearing some space for us.

Nothing wrong with soccer songs. The only good thing abotu the game!

Yeah, i dont want to borrow from soccer, but some original chants, and just generally baracking hard would be an improvement.

Where the **** is Bay113 anyway? I am in the Northern Stand, basically in the pocket sort of opposite the big screen but usually I will stand in the standing room area below as i like being close to the action and the bar.

How good would it look, a whole bay going nuts. A whole stadium going crazy would be better, but I'm sure the oldies wouldn't like that.

Right behind the northern goal on the terrace, the away supporters are down the front of that bay.

Really, what is the problem with pulling out chants generally used at soccer or Centrals games? Its not as if anyone will really care, except if they want to be smart-arses. Why discriminate when we can annoy the hell out of the opposition supporters and give our boys something to remember?

Get the crowd segregated. Grannies and families with young kids up one end and the hardcore fans up the other
