And this is different from your mob offering Warnock $400k whilst refusing to hand over your own 1st round selection, how precisely?
Come on Vader... you know better than that... Pick 6 in one of the strongest draft aint the same as Pick 14 in a compromised one...

What we gave up for Warnock is alot more than what Adelaide is offering for Jacobs even though Jacobs had shown a hell of alot more and is ready to go...

Pick 37 is more ridiculous than Pick 14

Talia or Davis and maybe 1-2 others are "untouchables". NOT Sellar! He's definitely steak knives.

If we deal with the crows, reckon it'll be.....

1. Pick 14 direct swap for Sammy
2. Talia or Davis plus a later pick - 2nd or Compo Pick

... with a few minor latter pick rearrangements to keep everyone smiling and chirpy.

Seems that the Cats and Saints are getting seriously interested now. Few others might get involved as well. A quality 22yo ruck is a huge asset. We know that.

The Crows basically want him badly enough to offer him a massive contract, but were naive enough to think they could get him for a bargain basement price. The reality of the situation is kicking in now. They're one of many. Back to the drawing board for the crows "negotiators".

:)
Are you the person who said Ricky Henderson is trade bait in the Herald Sun article? I just got that suspicion after your constant declaration of Davis and Talia as trade bait, it humours me.

Haha, now I'll try and put up with the trash trade talk, but this is just a blatant lie. Have a read of the near 3000 posts on the subject and get back to me.

Life.

Don't know who Ricky Henderson is? Never heard of him. Talia is linked to the Blues more than Davis. Not saying it'll happen, but it's a chance if the Crows are desperate to hang onto pick 14. Today was a nice little reality check for the crows. They thought they "held all the cards" and could offer us anything. Doesn't work that way. They're already competing with the Saints and Cats, plus probably a few more.

:)

Very simple really... If we can score a player in the quality of Jacobs with pick 14, we'd be excited... however pick 37 in a compromised draft has about a 10% chance of scoring a player that would play more than 10 games for our club... we are giving you a 10 year player...

I don't think we'll get pick 14... but I think it's big talk from both clubs...

Jacobs is worth around pick 20-24... in a normal draft... that is closer to pick 14 than pick 37...

In every other year... crows second rounder would've been sufficient... but not this year

The fact you don't know who Henderson is really doesn't give a whole lot of confidence that you know a thing about our list. I couldn't care less if we are competing with the Saints and Cats or whoever, Carlton could lose him for nothing, and that is a fact. It isn't going to make or break our season whether we land him or not, I'd much rather snare Tambling. But guess what? He has nominated Adelaide as his club of choice, and if Carlton don't honour that, they are just being pricks tbh (sorry for the language).

Actually, we offered you pick 26 today. You rejected this so we offered it for Tambling instead, which is likely to be completed tomorrow. So looks like you lot are in a worse position, with a mid 30s pick our best offer. I doubt we will offer anymore than this, when we can get him in the PSD for nothing.

If not, then no big deal to us.

Source?

Pick 37 is like offering Pick 45-50 in a normal draft... No way will the Crows be getting a player who starred in a Final for a crap pick like that....

GC and West Coast say hello.

Gee, you're getting a little flustered now. You should have known before this trade started, that you were never going to get him cheaply. Crows will now need to put down better offers than the other interested Clubs. If they put down an equal offer, I'm sure we'll take the crows offer because we want to do the right thing by Sammy. By being amateurish, and putting in silly bids first up, the crows are shooting themselves in the foot, because it provides opportunity for other clubs to start getting involved in the trade. That means you could well end up paying significantly more than you would have otherwise.

:)

Looks like you will wont have Sam then if your offering you Bock Compo or 2nd rounder. You can pickup Minson instead. We and Sam are more than happy to deal with other clubs if we dont get a suitable deal. Believe me.
Do you work for Carlton or something? That is written in a very personal tone.

Do you also work for Carlton? A lot of your posters seem to write in a very personal tone.

Getting Talia involved would make sense from the crows point of view, because they need midfielders more than KP players. So they'll offload an excess KP player, and get to keep their pick 14 which they can use on a midfielder, plus get Sammy Jacobs who'll help their ruck stocks enormously. Blues get a quality KP player which they need plus a latter pick thrown in to balance things out.

That trade addresses both clubs needs i.e crows lose an excess KP player, and the Blues lose an excess ruck.

Jacobs for Talia plus Pick 35.

:)

I'll repeat this for about the 59392829934th time, GC HAVE NO PICKS IN THE PSD! Understand? And West Coast have no need for Jacobs, where on earth did you pick that up from?

The GC would be more than happy to trade with Carlton before the PSD. How old is Cox? ;)

I'm a big fan of Henderson but what would you expect for a rookie selection who's played a handful of games? We'll offer you our second rounder. Surely equitable?
