I'm simply against random violence,
I'm not advocating random violence at all. If you abuse someone and get hit its not random is it??? Its random verbal abuse from a complete half wit. Just as someone getting a smack in the gob gets you sobbing like a like a pre pubescent sook, people that think unprovoked gobbing off and abuse is acceptable sh1ts me to tears.

Its very simple if you dont want someone to smack you in the mouth then show them the same respect that you expect.

Thesaurus inspired drivel? Wow, you must be dumber than Forrest Gump if you think I need a thesaurus for anything I've written...it's all plain English!

Manhood problems? No, that would be you, with your need to get violent to assert yourself and cokehead gurgling about 'deserving it'. It's clear you need to feel you could be violent against people to self-justify (I expect you do nothing of the sort, because it sounds like you're really just a coward).

Wow, you're a big man, sounding all threatening from behind a monitor. Internet blowhard would be a good description of you, tough guy.

Blowhard describes your attitude. As I said, you think you can say what you want, when you want, to who you want. Sorry stupid. It doesn't work that way in real life. I can only suggest you go down to the Mansfield Park Hotel & sprout some of this :D:D:D:D in the front bar. Then you might learn a few facts of life.

Memo to Dale: Don't call people d***heads, its rude and insolent and gets you into trouble

Memo to Brogan: Don't hit people, its illegal and gets you into serious trouble, a criminal record and possibly a heavy fine &/or a prison sentence.

Memo to BF posters: Stop fighting amongst yourselves, its rude and insolent and gets you into trouble

Thanks Crows98 for that Press Release from the Club. Sounds like a dignified and intelligent response.

Unlike some of the responses here. This whole thread is getting tired and repetitive. I repeat what I said on page 1, and I think a fair few others feel the same way. Don't condone what Brogan did, but Dale is a loser, and if only one other "fan" thinks about what happened to Dale, and keeps his gob shut, maybe something good will have come out of this whole thing.

Personal insults and flaming is boring and rude. No-one is going to change their mind on this matter, and no amount of name-calling is going to achieve anything, so can we keep that sort of stuff out of here?

Exactly.

No not all.

It's interesting to note though, some, Crows98 aside, that are willing to paint Dale as the next anti-christ have chosen to ignore the alleged incident involving the guy with the dog.
SC, it's very difficult to comment on the other alleged incident because we haven't got any details. The first thing I've heard of it was a couple of lines by Geoff Roach in today's Advertiser.

That doesn't mean people have chosen to ignore it - just that they don't feel like they're in any position to comment on it because they don't have any details.

If you can't see the imbalance between having a mouth off and getting hit, you need serious help.

Fair call. This thread has run its race.

I'm just glad it wasn't an AFC player of I would be extremely disappointed.

"I like to joke around but he's obviously not the type of people (sic) who joke around," 19-year-old Adelaide Crows fan Dale Mortimer said.

"It was a joke. I was smiling when I said it. I said 'look, you're playing for the wrong team mate' and then he just arked up and told me to come back and that's it."

"I didn't go looking for trouble, it was just a joke and he shouldn't have reacted like he did," Mr Mortimer said.

Class act Mr Mortimer is, note to Dale abusing people is not a joke

I never said I could say what I want, when I want - I don't, because I know genitally-challenged blowhards like you think violence is the answer to the problems in their pants, so they think it's an appropriate response to heckling. So I don't heckle anyone, because I am aware that unstable people like you and Brogan exist in our society.

But one suspects that you're nothing more than an Internet giant, all manliness behind your computer monitor, but a sexually frustrated, spotty little dweeb away from it.

Usually the ones advocating violence are the ones with the saddest lives. Those most comfortable in themselves don't need to threaten others or boast how 'tough' they are. Especially doing it in such a ******ed way as on an internet forum.

Facts of life? Seems like you missed that lesson in school - but then, you probably didn't go, did you?

I can only assume the sexually frustrated, spotty little dweeb comment was really just a description of you. I assume your are on this site because your mummy put a block on the pr0n & you are waiting for your big sister to come home & take it off for you.

I have merely stated that if some dweeb (read you) comes up to someone & abuses them then they (read you) deserves the belting they will eventually get. Now for some reason you don't seem to understand this simple fact of life. I can only assume you missed it when you were hanging out at game traders or games world or where ever you hang out.

I don't heckle people I don't know in public because it is rude & I accept they would have every right to have a go at me. I see from your response you don't because your frightened they might hurt you.

Its about time to close this thread Kane/Dave.

Nothing worth reading here.

No, this is great, keep it going. It reminds me of this allegedly true story which did the rounds a couple of years back ...

part one

I was sitting at my desk one day when I remembered a phone call I had to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered nicely saying, "Hello?"
I politely said, "This is [name censored], could I please speak to Robin?"
Suddenly the phone was slammed down on me! I couldn't believe that anyone could be that rude. I tracked down Robin's correct number and called her. As it happens, she had transposed the last two digits. After I hung up with Robin, I spotted the wrong number still lying there on my desk. I decided to call it again.
When the same person answered, I yelled "You're a tosser!" and hung up. Next to his phone number I wrote the word "tosser," and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills, or had a really bad day, I'd call him up. He'd answer as usual, and I'd yell, "You're a tosser!" and hang up. It would always cheer me up.
Later in the year the phone company introduced caller ID. This was a real disappointment for me, I would have to stop calling the tosser. Then one day I had an idea. I dialled his number and when he answered, I said "Hi. This is the sales office of the telephone company and I'm just calling to see if you're familiar with our caller ID program?"
He yelled "No!", and slammed the phone down.
I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're a tosser!"
The reason I'm taking the time to tell you this story is to show you that if there's ever anything really bothering you, you can do something about it: Just dial 0171 823-4863.
Keep reading, it gets better!

part two

An old lady at the shopping centre was really taking her time pulling out of a parking space, I didn't think she was ever going to leave. Finally, her car began to move and she started to very slowly back out of the slot. I backed up a little more to give her plenty of room to pull out. Great, I thought, she's finally leaving. All of the sudden this black BMW came flying up the parking aisle in the wrong direction and pulled into her space.
I hit the horn and started yelling, "You can't do that. I was here first!"
The guy climbed out of his BMW completely ignoring me. He walked toward the shopping centre as if he didn't even hear me. I thought to myself, 'this guy's a tosser, there sure are a lot of tossers in this world'.
I noticed he had a 'For Sale' sign in the back window of his BMW, so I wrote down the number then hunted for another place to park.
A couple of days later I'm at home sitting at my desk. I had just got off the phone after calling 823-4863 and yelling, "You're a tosser!" (It's really easy to call him now since I have his number on speed dial). I noticed the phone number of the guy with the black BMW laying on my desk and thought I'd better call this guy too.
After a couple of rings someone answered the phone and said, "Hello."
I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?"
"Yes, it is." he replied.
"Can you tell me where I can see it?" I asked.
"Yes, I live at 182 West street, London. It's a yellow house and the car's parked right out front." he replied.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"My name is Don Hansen." came the reply.
"When's a good time to catch you, Don?" I said.
"I'm home in the evenings." he replied.
"Listen Don, can I tell you something?" I asked.
"Yes sure." Don said.
I then yelled, "Don, you're a tosser!" and I slammed the phone down. After I hung up I added Don Hansen's number to my speed dialler.
For a while things seemed to be going better for me. Now when I had a problem I had two tossers to call. After several months of calling the tossers and hanging up on them, it just wasn't as enjoyable as it used to be. I gave the problem some serious thought and came up with a solution:

part three

First, I went to a pay phone and called tosser #1. A man answered nicely saying, "Hello."
I yelled "You're a tosser!", but I didn't hang up.
The tosser said, "Are you still there?"
I said, "Yeah."
He said, "Stop calling me."
I said, "No."
He said, "What's your name, Pal?"
I said, "Don Hansen."
He said "Where do you live?"
I said, "182 West Street, London. It's a yellow house and my black BMW's parked out front."
He then said, "I'm coming over right now, Don. You'd better start saying your prayers."
to which I replied, "Yeah, like I'm really scared, tosser!" and I hung up. Then I called tosser #2.
He answered, "Hello."
I said, "Hello, tosser!"
He said, "If I ever find out who you are..."
"You'll what?" I said.
"I'll kick your arse!" he yelled.
"Well, here's your chance. I'm coming over right now, tosser!" and I hung up. Then I picked up the phone and called the police. I told them I was at 182 West Street, London and that I was going to kill my gay lover as soon as I got home.
I climbed into my car and headed over to West Street to watch the whole thing. Glorious! Watching the two tossers kicking the crap out of each other before being arrested was one of the greatest experiences of my life!

Name withheld to protect the guilty.

Oh, I see taking my description of you and applying it to me. Smart. 'I know you are but what am I'. I guess you never made it out of primary school!

But my description of you must have hurt, you are getting really aggressive.

Not particularly smart are you? Must hurt to be completely without a future as you seem to be. Oh well, I guess you're just one of those knuckle-dragging oafs who probably fits the missing link between man and ape.

Just wait for the literary genius's response to that.

Why do some of you turn to personal insults? It doesn't get your message across any better & in puts you ins the same boat as this ... Dale. Thread closed as some can't control themselves. Ironic really, considering the topic being discussed.

The fallout from this incident may be interesting. Apart from being charged with assault and also dealt with by PAFC, Brogan risks being deregistered as a player by the AFL for bringing the game into disrepute.
I have been heckled and slanged off by blokes smaller than myself. I did not respond by breaking their noses. Nor should anyone.
It's not the first time an AFL player has got into a scuffle, it won't be the last time.
