Think it'd be a good idea if we posted something along these lines each Friday to keep everyone informed on Crows' players whereabouts for the weekend.

League Team Definites: Edwards, Welsh, Biglands, Thompson, Hentschel, Perrie, McLeod, Ricciuto, Mattner, Reilly, McGregor, Doughty, Hart, Rutten, Bassett, Hudson, Goodwin, Shirley.

Named on the 7-man bench and Not named in the SANFL: Bode, Skipworth, Johncock, M.Stevens, Begley, Van Berlo (South have a bye).

Named on the 7-man bench and also named in the SANFL: Bock (Eagles, Interchange).

Named in SANFL League Teams: Watts (Eagles, CHF), Ladhams (North, HFF), Massie (Norwood, HBF), Meesen (Norwood, FP), S.Stevens (Port, BP), Smith (Sturt, CHB), Jericho (West, FP).

Named in SANFL Reserves Teams: Griffen (Centrals), Andrews, Hinge, Krueger (All Glenelg), Knights (Eagles), Nye (North), Gibson (Norwood), Maric (Port).

Out Injured: Burton, Clarke, Torney, Schuback.

p.s. Let's hope our 'kids' can get promoted to league teams soon, especially Krueger.

Good idea matey. paints a very clear picture. Lets hope VB makes the 22.

Very disturbing to see so many in the reserves.

Great work MMSyd, handy info.

Surely Johncock and M.Stevens are definates despite being bench listed though?

Yep, of course. The other 2 spots will be interesting. I'd say one of Bode/Skipworth & one of Begley/Van Berlo.

Great Stuff MMS. We dont often get this info in the Herald Sun. ;)

Thanks Syd, very appreciated. :)

Everything was very helpful, especially the list of SANFL players and their positions. Great to see Meesen cracking a spot in the first 18 for Norwood, definitely good signs.

Expect Knights to move up into the seniors as the weeks pass by. Chris has got a good size about him already.

Great idea Syd - I'm sure your regular weekly report will be enoyed by all :p .

Disappointing to see so many in the reserves team.

You should do one of these for the Port board so they all know if Luke Peel has managed to scrounge an interchange spot in a SANFL reserves team :p

Good to see Shirley is still in the team, probably will take Licuria.

Bode, Skipworth and Begley would all be looking a little shaky IMO

VB must be close to a call up, Meesen in the seniors is a good sign, will be following his progress with interest.

From all reports Knights and Nye will both be playing seniors before too long so no problems with them being in the ressies.

Krueger and Andrews in the ressies is a little concerning, Andrews development seems slow and Krueger's back is obviously has delayed his progress somewhat.

All in all, looks like we have a reasonably competitive squad for this week against Collingwood.

Cheers MMS

At least Kruegers playing at last :)

I hope ;)

Tomorrow 2:30 ABC will be showing Norwood Vs. Centrals.

Crows in action are Meeson and Massie, who knows if we're lucky Gibson or Griffin may get a late call up from the reserves :o

Not too worried about Gibson, Maric and Knights playing reserves. Gibson and Knights will be playing leauge in the next couple of weeks and Maric in 4-6 weeks IMO. Not sure about Kruger, For Glenelg's sake i hope Andrews never makes it back and Griffin, Hinge and Nye could play league at any time.

Gee how the tide of opinion changes with supporters.

Late last year everyone was keen to push his barrow as having the potential to lead the AFC rucks in the future.

By all accounts Knights showed some pretty good form last week in the ressies, so it will be interesting to see if you are correct. Interesting thoughts about Gibson. What makes you predict this ? Hope you're right though, the more of our boys in the seniors the better.

Sturt v Port (last night)

Scott Stevens booted 4 and Matthew Smith  was named 3rd best for Sturt by The Advertiser.

Did Begley play last night?

Begley played yeah. Waterhouse gave him a bath in my opinion and the only thing stopping Waterhouse being BOG was his pathetic kicking for goal (3.5 or something). Clive was a few metres ahead of Begley all night. Begley had a good last quarter but relied on Waterhouse being double teamed.

Smith was alright. Dont think he was 3rd best but he had a top last quarter and kept Ah Chee quiet. Stevens kicked 4 in the first half.

Thanks Macca.

If Begley struggled to play on Waterhouse, it is just as well he was playing for Sturt & not the Crows. He was clearly underdone last week & would appear to be still in need of a few games to get match practice. Van Berlo should have played ahead of him last week.

I think that maric and gibson will play reserves for about 1/3 of the season before making it to the seniors because they've KPP/ Ruckman

Thanks for the info Syd.

I'm suprised Gibson is in the ressies considering he played league last year.

Andrews form is a worry and the other thing working against him is the Bays new ruckman - Daniel Kirk. Kirk's good form has pushed Andrews out of the team.
