We have gone in with the same team for the first time in a long time from my memory.

It Bodes well - if you will pardon the pun

Hawks have dropped A Cox, D Harford and L Picciaone at least and Lekkas is out injured.

Joel Smith Nick Stone Sam Mitchell and Camobel Brown are in

They have a very young side

Should be a ten goal win.

Go you good things

serously hopefully the crows can beat hawks - we should win but we can't underestimate hawthorn!!!!!!!

Whilst we should not under-estimate the Hawks & they are having a similar build-up to when we lost to the Roos, we should really pump them this week. With Lekkas out Crawford is the only midfielder of any concern & Stinger should get the job of curbing him. Then if Macca, Sugar, Bicks, Bodey, Goody, Edwards, Doughty, etc don't dominate Vandenburg, Tallis, Chick, Cox, Greene, Hodge, etc I will be very disappointed. Also, our rucks are in much better form & should give us 1st use of the ball.

Hawks forward line has really struggled - Barker, Dixon & Chick have been ordinary compared to last year. However, Holland looks like he might just be coming into some form. Do we trust Kenny with this job, or give it to Smarty?

Reckon we have plenty of forward options to score plenty, particularly with Hay struggling with injury & Rawlings not the same player as last year. The inclusion of Smith is important, but he will lack match fitness. Who will pick up Welsh, Burton & Riccuito? Perhaps Graham, Cox & McCabe. Can't really see all our forwards being held.

If the weather is fine we should win by 40+ pts.

I'm worried about this game, let down after last week etc and surely Hawthorn won't go winless on their 3 week road trip?

Campbell Brown debuting for Hawthorn is the son of big bad Mal.

  I don't think so, Holland would murder him. They may as well give the job to Smart or possibly Bassett. Hawthorn, despite popular belief before the season, really aren't much chop and we need to give our percentage a boost if we're gonna challenge for a top 4 position. A 10 goal win should be the minimum aim.

In a word ... percentage!!!

Bode in ruck v Rehn - the greatest coaching masterstroke since starting Trent Ormond-Allen in the ruck against Spider Everitt.

Yes, it was Ormond Allen and Stevens wasn't it?

And if memory serves me correct our boys took the points!

Let's hope they get that mini trampoline installed for Bodey in time!!

It started off as Lucas Herbert and Stevens. Stevo did his back in during the first quarter, and Herbert played a shocker, so Ormond-Allen got the job towards the end of the game.

The boys did indeed take the points, and I've never laughed so much at a game or enjoyed a few dobs after the game quite so much (RIP Waverley).

he he he he

Stevo for club champion in 2002

A mini trampoline for Bodey - PMSL!

No actually Bodey has been supplied with new rubber ball boots, he will be able to bounce up to the bounce! Or maybe he will be wearing stilts! If we get in front by 10 goals with 30 seconds to go, wouldn't it just be hilarious to see him have a go!

The weather is going to be crap so I don't think it will be a really high scoring game although I am confident the boys can beat them well. My prediction is Crows by 45 points.

Should be a big game - get out and support Bicks on his testimonial game!

Go You Crows !!

That won't happen, terrible forecast, 10 goals will probably win this match.I got a horrible feeling about this match.

Inside word is that Thompson Hay and one other may not play as well

Could be crap though as it came from a Hawks supporter looking for excuses after they get beaten.

Crows should hammer em by 43 points...
I know Stinga is good enough so Id say Crawford will be Priority One target for us. Maybe we tag team him with Goodwin

Rehn will be competitive and knows the Crow style of play; I see Biglands as the right bloke to jump at him in the centre...something Rehn does not like:D

Ill be there...Cant Wait!

Hawks team

I think you'd find that Hay is gone. There is no other reason why we would really be selecting Stone. You certainly don't have three worrysome talls in your forward line, and he isn't there for any other purpose.

Thommo can't run or change direction. For a small-ish ruckman, who relies on mobility, that's not a good sign. note Campbell (our rookie ruckman) is first emergency, and going accross.

Smith is coming back two weeks earlier than expected, after spending 6 weeks out with a hammy (he's redone it allready coming back early).

The rest (Barker, Chick, Dixon, Holland?, Rawlings?) have been in bad form, I think (hope) that's all, although rumours abound that Rawlings knee needs doing allready (instead of split-round), and Barker has had OP flare back up.

Harford's 'ankle' is perhaps plausible as he has been really slow (even more than usual!), while Picioane's shoulder is worrying, as this would be the game he got back in midfield.

Wouldn't suprise me at all to see at least one, if not two of Hay, Thompson, Smith pull out before the game.

As much as I would like to see Hawthorn win, I just don't give us a chance, (well not unless we decide to play for more than 2-3 minutes for the game).

:(
